"Okay, I think we're far enough. Can you remove these handcuffs?" Said John monotonously.
"Sure. I managed to pick up the keys from one of them." Arthur replied, pulling the reins of the horse to a stop on the side of the empty road.
He carried John off the horse and proceeded to carefully undo the handcuffs.

"Much better" John said, rubbing his wrists together, before starting to walk away from Arthur.
"What the... Marston! Where you going?" Arthur called out in confusion.
"Away. Thanks for everything, though."

Arthur quickly started chasing John down the road, looking confused as hell.
"Marston, what the hell? Let me take you home."
"I ain't going anywhere with you, you damn cheater." John replied angrily, picking up the pace and walking away faster.
"What the fuck are you talking about?!"

John stopped and turned around, looking Arthur straight in the eyes.
"I saw you with her."
"Saw me with who?!" Arthur replied angrily, crossing his eyebrows.
"I don't fucking know? But I saw you coming out of that forest with that blonde woman."
"Jesus Christ..." Arthur sighed in relief, facepalming.
"Is this what you do now? You take your whores to the woods so I wouldn't find out?" He said with anger in his voice, pushing Arthur away and hitting him in the shoulder.
"John..."
"How much did she cost, Morgan?" He pushed him one more time, now with his voice breaking.
"John! She was no whore! She was getting raped in the woods!" Arthur replied, holding John by the shoulder to make him stop.
"Oh, really? And you're the hero that saved her from her unfortunate fate?"
"Yes!"
"Do you really expect me to believe that?"
"Why don't I show you?"
"Show me what? There's nothing you can do to make me believe otherwise. I saw you!"
"Fine. Just come with me." Arthur said calmly, pulling John back by the arm to the horse.
John didn't resist his offer. He wanted so desperately to be mistaken, so he went along with it.

They finally get back on the horse and Arthur takes them to Valentine.
The trip wasn't long, but their awkward silence made it seem longer.

After reaching Valentine, Arthur hitches his horse by a fancy looking house and knocks on the door.
"Arthur, what are you doing?" John whispers, as it was late and the town was asleep.
A blond woman then opens the door holding up a lantern.
The blonde woman.

"Mr. Morgan?" Shelly greeted the cowboy.
"Miss Shelly... I- I hope this isn't a bad time. I just wanted to check up on ya and see how you was doing."
"I was just about to go to sleep.. but please, do come in."
"Thank you, no need for that. This is my friend Mr. Marston. He was... moved by your story, and also wanted to help." Arthur said to Shelly, giving John a dirty look.
"Oh, Mr. Morgan, you've already been far too kind to me. Me and my father are forever in your debt."
"You sure? You need anything?"
"We're fine, thank the Lord. In fact, go to my father's gun shop, next to the saloon, and get yourself and your friend any gun under the name Shelly Allen. Free of charge. It's the least I could do to repay you for your kindness."
"I'll take you up on that offer! Thanks Ms. Shelly. Take care."
"You too." She nods at the both of them.
Arthur tips his hat at her as she closes the door.

He looks back at John, who looked rather ashamed for suspecting Arthur's good deed to be the complete opposite.
"Well?" Arthur asked.
"Okay. So I was wrong." John replied, looking away and crossing his arms in embarrassment.
"While I admire your jealousy... but, nah. Not good enough."
"I-uh.. I.. I'm sorry." John said hesitantly, scratching his head.
"Still. Not good enough." Arthur replied smugly.
"And what would you have me do?" John raised his eyebrows in confusion.
Arthur then picks up John's hat and wears it on top of his, walking back to the horse.

"I can think of a few ideas." He says with a smirk.
