Rose Black, a senior in high-school, had been going to school in Bakersfield school district since she was a tot, until today. Today she started school in a new school called Ranchester High School.
When Rose and her mom moved, Her mom just could not stop saying; new town, new school, new life. Rose on the other hand felt completely differently. Her parents were still divorced and her mom became a complete control freak. Rose's mom was remarried and Rose hated her step dad. Rose was always reminded by her mom of her little sisters suicide. Her mom just could not stop blaming it on her. When in reality it wasn't her fault at all.
Jake North, wasn't your typical high school student. He was an athlete who cared about his grades. Jake didn't have a nice home life or school life. I know what you're thinking an athlete with a poor school life who would of thought. Jake was constantly bullied at school because he wasn't exactly how everyone wanted him to be. On top of school, when Jake came home he had to deal with completely sober abusive parents. (Yes I typed that right). He got beat everyday because his parents blamed his older brothers death on him, when his brother was in a car accident.
