- Taki POV -
"Hi Taki~" I jumped when I heard a voice by my ear, "Wait long?" I was Miss Okudera, "Y-yeah," I nod, "Uh! No." I quickly shake my hands and fiddle with the hair at the back of my head, I looked up and saw what Miss Okudera was wearing, she wore high heels, a sundress and a hat, but it didn't make me blush, I always thought I liked Miss Okudera but since I've met Yuki... I don't see her in that way anymore, "Let's go," She smiled and grabbed my hand pulling me after me, I didn't react or blush, I only wished it was Yuki here with me...

"It must be nice, they've probably met up by now," I wrap my kumihimo around my ponytail, "Huh?" I looked in the mirror, tears, rolling down my face, "Why?" I touched the tears on my cheeks, "Taki... I want to be on that date with you." I slowly fell on my vanity and cried.

We were on the lift to the skytree, it was crowded and I had to lean against the window edge on my tiptoes so I wouldn't be in Miss Okudera's face, I just thought about Yuki, she'd be laughing at me right now. 'It was meant to be a date I wanted to go on but if it just so happens you end up going you better be grateful and enjoy it! I'll be here in my little country town cheering for you!' I finished reading Yuki's recount. "This is nice, it's my first time here so is this one of your usual go-to places?" Miss Okudera asks as we sat down at the restaurant at the top of the skytree, "Ah, no way! It's too expensive here!" I wave my hand quickly and whisper, she tucks her hair behind her ear, "I don't know what to say to her," I lean on the wall as I went to the bathroom, "At any rate, I bet you haven't been to a single date in your life so I 'handpicked' some links for you. Why knows, maybe one day you'll be able to take me out, make sure you study them~' It ended with, I blushed, does Yuki like me back?! I flipped through the links, 'You can get a girlfriend too!!' 'I suffer anxiety but got a girl!! The dos and don'ts of texting!' I read, "She's making fun of me, baka." I chuckled a little. We walked though a museum and there were some old photos hung up, my eyes were drawn to one, the lake... "You know something Taki, today, you're like a different person." Miss Okudera walks off.
"M-Miss Okudera, you hungry? We uh could get dinner," I offer, "Uh, let's call it a day. I could be wrong and I'm sorry if I am but you used to have a little crush on me right?" She asked, I blushed bright red, we were back on the highway bridge, "But right now there's someone else you like huh?" She says, "No! It's... not like that," I cover my mouth, "Really?" She walks closer, "It's nothing," I scratch my head, "Are you sure about that?" She smiles, "Well thank you for today, see you at work!" She walks off. It was beginning to get dark, 'By the time the date's over you should be able to see the comet!' I read, I looked up at the sky, nothing? I clicked on Yuki's name and I hesitated, I pressed call and I heard the dial tone

"Oh hi Teshi, what's up?" I picked up the phone, "Why didn't you come to school today, you feeling okay?" He asks, "Yeah, just didn't feel like going I guess and I'm fine, promise." I smiled, "Well Saya and I are by our cafe we made, are you coming to the festival? The comet's at its brightest tonight," He says, I thought of the cafe Taki made with Saya and Teshi, my heart clenched, "Oh yeah, the festival, yeah sure, I'll be there, wait for me just a little longer." I say, "Yeah, we'll be here, see ya." He says, "See ya." We hung up.
"Sorry to keep ya." I walk up to them, "You're late," "Oh she's here!" The two of them stand up, "Well, let's go, the festival's waiting," I grinned and hooked my arm around both of them. The three of us went to the top of a hill, "Hey guys, I can see it!" I pointed up at the sky, we ran to a grassy clearing, all out eyes were glued to the comet, streaks of blue, teal and purple striped across the night sky, "It's beautiful," Saya breathes out, I saw a small red flare separate from the blue comet, I gasped... "Taki... I love you." That was the last thing I saw and said.
