Reset Reality (Sans x Suicidal Reader)

"Sans...I"

"You what?"

"Gaster said that the mist was the void."

"...and?"

"I'm going to need to reset..."

"Reset? But I thought..."

"I know, I didn't think that I would have to reset again either but..."

"But..."

"If I don't reset then all of the world will be erased..."

Sans stays silent for a moment, the white pinpricks in his eyes disappearing.

"Just...go..." Was the only thing he says before teleporting away. As much as you wanted to go after him, you couldn't and that pained you to your very core. (Get it?) You open up your menu and look at the two options once again your hand lands on reset.

You wake up in a field of- wait- you look around. All the walls around you were white, you had never seen this place before.

"Why am I here?" You think to yourself, you usually would be half way through the ruins at this moment but here you are in this white room.

Suddenly 7 jars pop up from the ground, each holding a different color heart, which you knew to be souls. The first one on the very left held a green soul, followed by yellow, orange, purple, blue, and light blue, but suddenly you realized that there was one jar that was empty between the orange and purple one. You sit there for a moment, was this place trying to tell you something? A cracking sound breaks you from your thoughts, you look at the green soul, Kindness, there is a few cracks starting to form. A few seconds later, and the whole soul is changed, now not only is it cracked but it's upside down. Suddenly a name appears above the soul, stating Kindness, but something didn't feel right, one by one the letters began to glitch, until it no longer stated Kindness but instead stated Animosity. You didn't have time to dwell on this fact as you heard more cracking, the yellow soul, Justice, was also cracking, once again after a few seconds the soul was cracked and upside down, the name changing from Justice to Corruption. What the Hell... you thought, one by one the souls change, orange, cowardice, purple, apathy, blue, dishonesty, light blue, agitation. You brace yourself for the sudden pain that would be felt when your soul cracks.

Red, Irresolution. Wait, you thought to yourself, you didn't even have the determination soul to begin with. "But who would have that type of soul?" Suddenly there was a sound from behind you. You could hear a soul cracking but you didn't know whose it was. You turn around to be greeted by Chara.

"Chara? How did you get in here?"

"I...don't...know" She says through gritted teeth, you could tell that she was in a lot of pain.

Suddenly Chara screams and falls to the floor, a silence fills the room. Her soul appears above her body, cracked and flipped. The soul then for some reason went back into her body. Chara stands up again.

"Chara! You're alright! Thank God!" You say taking a step closer to her. She then takes a step back.

"Stay back..." She says to you, her voice quiet and barely audible.

"Chara..."

"How do you know my name?" You didn't really know how to reply, it was her who made the first move in talking to you.

"You told me it." She looks at you and hesitantly takes a step forward.

"Where am I?" She asks.

"I wish I knew myself." You say to her.

"H-How do we get out?" You shrugged.

"That I also don't-" You were cut of by a sound in the distance, a flash of light was coming towards you. The last thing you saw was the souls escaping the jars before you passed out.

~~Time Skip~~

You wake up to the smell of burning spaghetti. Your immediate reaction was to jump up and run towards the smell, but then you heard a voice.

"ALRIGHT SANS, I GET IT."

"Good now I don't want you to axe-identally burn anything again."

"OH MY GOD SANS! ENOUGH WITH THE AXE JOKES."

"sorry no can do paps, i'm an axe-bert at this stuff." You stand up and try to walk towards the kitchen, since that would be the most logical place to make spaghetti, after taking one step you collapse to the floor, an immense pain filling you body. You hear footsteps coming closer to you, but you black out before you even had a chance to speak.

~~Time Skip~~

You wake up once again this time the house is dark, you can feel something on your leg too, it was Sans. You felt pretty bad, not only did you reset which had originally made him sad but you on top of that have continued to only cause more and more trouble. This is the time when you wish that you had your knives with you. Maybe if you were cutting yourself you wouldn't feel as much pain.

"Are you gonna continue just sitting there in silence or are you gonna speak." Sans asked abruptly causing you to jump.

"W-What happened?"

"I don't know Y/N, I just found you outside of my sentry station 8 days ago. and-"

"Wait, 8 days ago?"

"Yeah, 8 days, to be honest both Paps and I thought that we would never be able to talk to you again, and with that stunt you pulled yesterday with trying to walk..."

"I'm so sorry Sans...I'm such a failure. I don't even know why you love someone like me."

"I love you because you're you." He grabs your hand and kisses it. "So tell me, what happened after the reset?" Sans asks.

"I was brought to this long white corridor, with a bunch of different colored souls in Jars. They just..." You started to tear up. "...They just started to crack and flip upside down, each of the traits becoming the opposite. When I thought my turn had come I heard cracking from behind me, and there was Chara, she was confused on who I was and where we were. After that there was a flash of light and I saw the Jars with the souls break, each souls started to scatter but I had passed out before I had gotten a good chance to see what had happened to Chara or where the souls went." Sans sits there in silence. "Is there something wrong." You ask with slight concern.

"We need to get those souls back."
