Oliver Queen - Rescued

One moment there were guns pointed directly at you, the next, a tall figure stepped in front of you like a shield.

"Oliver..." you murmured ever so quietly in relief.

The man in the green hood almost immediately began shooting arrows at the attackers with such speed that it left them with no chance of escape. Once all the men had been rendered unconscious the Green Arrow turned and knelt down in front of you. "Are you ok Y/N?" He asked.

"Yep, never been better." You said as you grabbed a hold of his arm, allowing him to pull you up on to your feet.

"What are you doing anyway? I thought you had work." Oliver uttered with a frown as he took off his green hood. You'd been friends with him for over three years now and had already learnt his true identity as the Green Arrow.

"They called. I wasn't needed." You replied simply with a small shrug before catching one of the men stirring. "Ollie." You whispered as you pulled Oliver's hood on for him.

"Hey! Wh-" Oliver went to protest until you gestured to the men on the floor as they grew conscious.

Without a word the Green Arrow stepped into immediate action as he shot the grappling hook from the near window to the far building wall before he wrapped an arm around your waist and leapt out and slid down the wire away from the scene of disaster that would follow.

"Ok, that never gets old." You panted once you'd both landed.

Oliver chuckled and nodded as he let you go. "You know, you really have to stop getting into these situations and looking for trouble." He said firmly with a small smirk.

"Why? I love being rescued by the Green Arrow!" You teased.

"Y/N, I mean it. I can't always be saving you. Hello, Guardian of Star City? Does that ring a bell?" He exclaimed, shaking his head gently.

You scoffed and rolled your eyes at him. "Yeah yeah ok I get it." You stepped closer to him and raised an eyebrow. "Anyway, shouldn't you go and change? Can't be strolling through the streets next to me in that."

Oliver paused and opened his mouth before quickly closing it. "Mm very good point." He agreed.

"I'll meet you outside that new restaurant." You said with a laugh, punching him lightly on the shoulder.

Oliver just chuckled and nodded happily in agreement. "Sounds good to me." He replied cheerfully. "I'm going to head to the bunker though because Felicity has some information about that murder we were looking into so I'll be a few minutes late." He added a little more softly.

"Oh no, that's fine! Just don't be too long." You said, "oh and tell Felicity I said hi." You added with a wide smile even though you knew you were more likely to see her sometime soon.

"Yeah sure, will do." Oliver uttered with a chuckle. There was a few seconds of silence as you held each other's gaze before he broke off. "See you soon, Y/N." He murmured gently before he gave you one last smile and turned around.

He shot another grappling hook and within seconds was gone.
