Momo Yaoyorozu's pov:

Running away from the Cornucopia with Todoroki, I felt pure agony run through my arm. I'd broken it but in order to run quicker, I let it hang loose. My arm hit my legs several times causing me to flinch and close my eyes at the unpleasant sensation.

"Yaoyorozu, are you ok? You seem to be in pain." My heterochromic-haired teammate asked me.

"Yes. Don't worry about me. My arm will heal in no time." I sent a soft smile his way but at that moment my arm hit my leg and it caused me to scrunch my face up once more.

"No you aren't. We're stopping as soon as we reach the tree line to treat it. We're Capitol favourites, we're sure to have some sponsorships soon." I nodded and began to run faster, arm flailing aimlessly behind me.

The next day, we found a place to take shelter. It wasn't much, just a small cave that was hidden from sight.

Todoroki was tending to my injury.

He leant down to get a closer look and softly ran his fingertip down the broken elbow.

"Does this hurt?" He asked gently, applying light pressure to just above the elbow.

"I got mild discomfort but nothing too serious." I replied with all honesty.

"Ok... well, how about here?" He moved further down and applied pressure to where the arm was visibly twisted out of shape.

I screamed.

"Sorry. I didn't mean for it to hurt that bad." Todoroki sincerely apologised and removed his hand from the distorted limb.

"I don't think there's much I can do until a medicine sponsorship comes along or until the Feast but that's weeks away. It's quite severe so I don't think you'll be doing too much unnecessary physical activity for that time. Rest here, I'll go find us some food and water." With that, Todoroki stood up and left me in the warm but damp cave.

"Why did you have to leave...?" Muttering to myself, I pushed myself up to the wall using my singular arm. I attempted to shift my weight without it being too painful but everytime a new crevice or dip was found in the floor that my arm would push against, pain coursed through my entire body. This caused me to let out loud groans of pain.

About half an hour later, I heard footsteps approaching.

"Todoroki, is that you?" Calling out, the footsteps ceased.

There was no response.

"No..." They'd heard me and now they'd kill me.

"Please, just leave me alone. I'm in bad shape, when I feel better we can fight." I said, hope sounded in my words.

Eerie silence ensued...

Then the heavy footsteps began as quickly as they'd stopped... only this time they were coming closer to me.

"No... no...! No! Don't kill me please! Todoroki save me! I can't fight!" Screaming my lungs out in despair, I grabbed a hold of a knife that Todoroki had grabbed from the Cornucopia.

Suddenly, a shadow looked over my idle figure and I screamed bloody murder.

"I have a knife! Don't come any closer! I'll kill you! TODOROKI!" Bellowing, my cries we're cut short as the perpetrator speared me in the heart.
