A bolt of light hit her eyes for a moment before she was forced backward, Luke's hand in hers. She didn't even have time to catch her breath before she felt her feet hit a hard, concrete surface.
"What in the-" she let go of Luke's hand and began to walk forward. She paused immediately when she heard screaming.
She looked up to see a small girl sitting on a couch, large glasses covering her face and her hair pulled back. She was staring at her, mouth ajar.
"Who.. are you?"
"WHO AM I?!" the girl yelled, "YOU'RE THE ONE THAT APPEARED IN MY GARAGE."
Alex and Reggie each grabbed onto one of her arms, Luke moved to stand in front of her to diffuse the tension between the two women.
"Your garage? I'm sorry but you must be confused...this is my...our studio." Luke inched closer to the girl, causing her to dig her nails into the couch cushions deeper.
"I've lived here for years," the girl continued. "I've never seen any of you.... ever." The small girl's chest pushed up and down quickly as she started to hyperventilate.
Luke went to speak again, but before he could, the girl started running out the door, screaming again. He moved to follow her, but Reggie caught his arm.
"Let her go and take a breather, we need to get our thoughts together too."
Y/N shook out of the boys' grip and walked to the left side of the room. She saw some things she recalled, the couch Luke crashed on when his parents kicked him out, their old boombox...but she had to admit that a lot changed.
"Do...do you think she's right? That this place...isn't ours anymore?" She scrunched her eyebrows together to prevent tears from falling. She heard footsteps behind her and held her breath. Once a hand reached her waist, she eased into the touch.
"I don't know babe," Luke said, pulling her into him. She opened the player and began to touch the outline of the band's logo. He placed a kiss on her temple and that's when she let go of her emotions entirely. Luke heard her sniffle and twirled her in front of him, pulling her into a hug.
"Y/N don't cry, I hate it when you cry." He leaned his chin on the top of her head and squeezed her tighter. When she finally looked up at him, she couldn't help but smile, the shaggy-haired boy had a slight sheen under his eyes. His hands moved to her face, wiping her tears away. She lifted onto her tiptoes and kissed his lips.
"Okay Patterson, get off of my sister so we can set up a game plan for when that girl comes back," Reggie said, pushing the couple apart.
Reggie pulled his sister in quickly, placing a kiss on her head before walking over to the boys.
"So, who are you...." All four members turned over to see the girl walk slowly toward them, her arm focused forward, with a cross pointed in their direction.
