The next couple of days were spent getting ready to move. My mom helped me pack my stuff, and within a day and a half, all of my stuff was packed into two large suit cases. We let a funiture company take the furniture that was in my room, since Karl had said that he could make accommodations for me sleeping in his room.

So by Saturday, I was ready to go. I'd told Karl that morning that I was ready, and he'd texted back saying he'd pick me up at 10:00AM. It was 9:30AM now, and my mom and I were sitting at the table together. She was telling me the story of how we'd found the house I was leaving. I was very young when we'd moved here, and I barely remembered any of it. She smiled fondly at the memory of bringing five-year-old me into the house for the first time. By 9:45, however, she'd fallen silent as she watched me putting my shoes on and pulling on my favourite hoodie. As I looked up at her, I noticed a hint of sadness in her expression, and I was sure I saw a single tear roll down her face.

"Mom, I'm not going off to war," I slightly joked, trying to lighten her mood. "I'll be fine." But my mom didn't look any less sad. She pulled me into a tight hug, and I gladly accepted the gesture. When we pulled apart, she grabbed my hands gently in hers, and gazed into my eyes. "I know you'll be fine, Y/N," she said sadly. "but that doesn't make it easier to see you go." I nodded in understanding. "I'll visit," I promised her. "And I'll help out whenever and however I can." My mom nodded, just as a car horn honked outside.

I glanced out the window, and saw Karl's car on the road. He was five minutes early. I grabbed both my suitcases, said a final good-bye to my mom, and headed out the door, ending one chapter of my life while beginning a whole new one.

I stepped into Karl's house, and was greeted by something I wasn't expecting. In the living room, stood Ethan, Bailey, Maitland, and Jordan, who was Ethan's girlfriend, each holding one of the four cats that lived there, smiling. There was a small banner hung on the back of the couch nearby that said, *Welcome, Y/N!* in fancy looking letters. I smiled slightly as I saw this. Maitland was the first to come forward and greet me. "Hi, Y/N! Welcome!" I smiled as she high-fived me. The boys and Jordan came up to me as well for high-fives. "Thanks you guys," I said after everyone had welcomed me. "I wasn't expecting this." Ethan let the cat he was holding, Sparky, down to the floor as he replied. "That was the point. We want to make sure you like it here." I smiled again. "I think I will."

After talking with them all a bit more, Karl and I headed upstairs to his room with my two suit cases. When we stepped inside, I saw there was a rather large and puffy-looking mattress on the other end of the room from Karl's bed. There was already a pale purple sheet over it. "Who did this?" I asked Karl as he layed one of my suitcases beside the door and flopped on his bed. "I did," he replied. "With a little help from Ethan." I smiled slightly as I flopped down on the mattess. "So what now?" I asked as I turned to gaze at him in his bed. "Now…well now you live here. So do whatever you like."

It was a few days later when I was chilling on my 'bed', scrolling through my Instagram feed. I had a day off from filming, so I just stayed at home while Karl and Ethan were out. Karl was participating in a video, while Ethan was doing his usual editing work like usual. It was a Wednesday, and I was beyond bored. Bailey and Maitland had gone out to do their own thing, so I was home alone. I seriously didn't know what to do, so I went downstairs, and out through the front door to relax a little bit in the small front yard.

I'd been sitting in the shade of a small tree-I'd almost call it a bush-when I heard an unfamiliar voice call out, "Hey!" I looked up, to see some middle-aged looking man standing on the sidewalk, staring at me.  Instantly, red flags started going off in my head. "Can I help you?" I asked slowly, trying to keep the nervous shake from my voice. The man didn't say a anything, he simply stared at me. He started getting a bit closer, and I didn't know what to do. Finally, he spoke, "Come here," his voice had a commanding tone, as if he was *ordering* me to go to him. "I want to show you something." I wasn't stupid. I knew this could go down hill quick, so I stayed where I was.

"Nah, I'm good. Thanks, though." I said clearly, forcing a bit of politeness into my voice. The man just stared at me, apparently confused by my answer. He stepped closer once more, and I got ready to get up and run. Thankfully, it didn't go too far, because I heard the honk of a car, and turned to see Karl's car stopping on the street. Karl stepped out, and called out, "Hey man, I think it's time for you to leave." The man turned, saw him, and took off through the lawn to the neighbor's property. Within seconds, he was out of sight.

Karl drove his car quickly into the drive way as I got up. "You good?" He asked as he stepped out. I nodded. "Thanks," I said to him as we both walked up to the door. "I wasn't sure where that was going to go." Karl shrugged. "If he had tried anything, I would have beat him and make him wish he never stepped foot on our street." I laughed as Karl playfully punched the air as I opened the door. He was such a dork, and a cute one at that.

About a week later, on a Tuesday morning after Karl and Ethan had left to film a video, there was a knock on the door. Bailey and Maitland were doing something in the kitchen, so I went to open the door. There I saw CJ, Jimmy's brother, who also had a youtube channel. With him was Jake Weddle, and a few other people I didn't remember. "Hey, Y/N, I have a strange request…"

I stood in the living room, turning slowly as I admired the colourful walls. On each wall was a plethora of sticky notes, making the room seem like some sort of an amusement park. While Karl was out filming a video with Jimmy (I just so happened to know it had to do with elephant toothpaste, and CJ's house) CJ had been filming a video where he'd prank Karl and cover his house with sticky notes. I'd agreed to it, simply because I wouldn't miss the expression on Karl's face.

Now, the door was opening, and in came Karl, a look of shock on his face. Jimmy and the crew followed as I leaned against the counter to watch. Karl walked around the room for a bit, then went to Bailey's room. Bailey had agreed to the prank as well, since the boys wouldn't be sticky-noting his room.

"Couldn't you just not let them in?" Karl was asking. Bailey smirked, as he replied. "I agreed to it so long as they didn't do my room." Karl blinked. "They did my room?!" We all laughed as he made a break for the stairs. I followed as well, although remained out of shot.

We got to Karl's room, and looked at the show of colour on the walls. The boys had even put sticky notes on Karl's TV, spelling out "Carl". They spelled it wrong for the joke, but Karl of course, mentioned it. He then went over to his closet and opened the door. Out jumped Jake, scaring the life out of Karl and causing him to actually fall. We all laughed as one of the camera men zoomed in on Karl. "Can you all please get out of my house?" He said while laughing his cute, high-pitched laugh.

Eventually, the chaos died down, and CJ's video ended. Everyone began leaving, as Karl weaved his way over to me. "This was insane," he said to me as he leaned on the counter next to me. I smiled as I nodded. "Your reaction was absolutely worth the time it'll take to clean this all up." Karl rolled his eyes a bit as he looked around the house once more. "And you agreed to it?" He asked, as I nodded. "It was so funny." I laughed as Karl hopelessly fell to the ground, looking at all the colourful walls.

He grabbed my hand, gently pulling me down as well, and we sort of half-wrestled on the ground, laughing like children. Eventually we got tired, and lay on the floor for a few moments. Then we got up, and with the help of a few people who stayed behind, we started taking down all the sticky notes. Ethan had come home, and Bailey, and Maitland had helped as well. Jordan even came over around 8PM to help out.

It was close to 10:30PM by the time all the sticky notes were off the walls. Karl and I headed upstairs, exhausted. We talked a bit in the discord, before finally calling it a night and going to sleep. I knew now, that living here was definitely a good choice, and I would enjoy it to the fullest.
