Your eyes burst open as you gasp for air, lungs burning as if you had just surfaced from drowning in the deep sea. A sharp breath rattles through you. You're lying against something soft, a blanket draped over your body. Blinking up at the ceiling, a dull, throbbing ache settles into your skull. Your limbs feel leaden, every movement a struggle.
Forcing yourself upright, you push past the heaviness in your body, but your legs buckle beneath you. You crash forward, hitting the cold floor.
