Millenium High, a high school that was surprisingly fancy for being a public school. It's red brick walls were surrounded by frosty cream stone structures. Its windows were large and glossy, and well trimmed bushes and plants lined the outer walls of the school. A set of large, iron gates held place as the entrance, with many well paved cobblestone paths winding around the school's campus. Large patches and fields of grass allowed students to bask and play in the sunlight and nestle under the shady, cool parts of trees. Benches were lined occasionally along the main path that led to the school's front entrance. Yeah, this place almost seemed like a college, a lot of people assumed that. This high school was on the outskirts of the city, with the skyline being just about visible from the school's accessible rooftops. The school's campus was more on the territory of the smaller town that was next to the city. Mimi was the only one that resided in this town, thus making her always the first to wait for the others near the gates.
Kay and Allie used their enormous amounts of energy to bound forward, immediately excitedly jumping into Mimi's arms as the three females embraced. Theo and Kara trailed just behind them, conversing and laughing happily.
"Hey you dyed your hair! It looks awesome!" Kay said energetically, clapping her hands in a happy manner as she skipped on the spot.
"Why thank you!" Mimi said with a grin, flipping her now chocolate and ombre tinted hair.
Meanwhile, Faelyn lugged herself forward from the back, eyes droopy and dark. Her long blonde hair was scruffy and messy, and she had her hands dug deep into the pockets of the large black hoodie she wore. Her hood was up, shadowing a portion of her face, making her emit a rather seclusive aura. As soon as Faelyn caught up with the rest of the group, Mimi found herself frowning at the sullen looking girl.
"Hey Faelyn, you alright?" Mimi asked with a kind smile, looking at the female with a concerned gaze.
"Yeah.." She stated rather blandly, releasing a yawn before sleepily rubbing one eye with her fist.
"Doesn't seem like it, did you get enough sleep?!" Kara placed her hands on her hips in a scolding manner, her mom friend instincts kicking in almost immediately.
"Mhm," Faelyn hummed in a bored tone, her head slightly down.
Kay frowned in worry, before she approached the female with a sweet smile, "Hey, come on, today is the first day we've been back here since forever! We get to see some old friends, and hey, maybe there will be some new faces too that we can befriend!" She stated in her usual optimistic tone.
"I did hear from Sarah and Laya that there are some new students in the school, which should be fun!" Mimi also said in an enthusiastic tone, giving the blonde haired female a thumbs up with a smile.
"I always love seeing a new face around here!" Allie exclaimed happily.
"Should be nice to see some change," Theo agreed with a smile, placing his hands in his pockets in a cool manner before he stepped besides Faelyn, "Though, I think that once the day is over, you n e e d a nap."
"What! No I don't!" Faelyn huffed, crossing her arms with a deeply aggravated expression.
"Ah there's the Faelyn we know and love!" Kara teased, patting her shoulder playfully while the blonde female snarled back at her in an annoyed tone.
Kay giggled in a bubbly manner, before she hoisted her heavy backpack further up on her shoulders, securing her hands around its straps, "I think we should head inside! Classes should be starting soon and we don't want to be late on the first day!"
"Agreed! What's everyone's first class?" Allie asked, smiling as she started walking alongside Kay.
"Sadly, I have math," Theo said with a playful huff, his tall frame trailing behind the much shorter Kay, Allie, and Mimi, casting a shadow upon them.
"I have math too," Faelyn stated with a huff from besides Theo and Kara, "Which sucks ass."
"I have English I believe," Kara stated with a small smile.
"I have science," Kay said with a pout, her head and arms dropping dramatically, "D'aww I don't like science!" She whined playfully.
"Hey I do too! Don't worry, we can suffer together!" Allie said in a bubbly tone, receiving childlike giggles from the two females and a high five.
"Aww lucky you guys, I have PE," Mimi huffed with a pout, "Oh shoot speaking of which, I gotta catch up with the others there and get changed! I'll see you guys later!" She waved, immediately darting off to go to the girl's locker room.
"See ya! And be careful!" Theo called out with slight concern, before sighing, "Well I guess I should head off to math with Faelyn here. You guys stay safe too okay?" He said, patting their heads before giving Kay's nose a boop, "E s p e c i a l l y you, last time you almost tripped and fell down the stairs. Not everyone is going to be there to catch you Kay."
Kay pouted and crossed her arms, looking away in embarrassment. Meanwhile, Kara smirked as she found this as a bigger opportunity to embarrass Kay further.
"I mean, there is that one girl that is always giving lovey dovey eyes to Kay, what's her name, Sheila is it? I'm sure she would always be there to catch you."
"W-What?! I don't know what you're talking about," Kay pouted further, now hiding her reddening face.
"Haha gotcha! Come on, we've all been catching on to this now Kay. You two clearly like each other," Kara teased, patting her head.
"Awww I agree! They would be a cute couple," Allie enthusiastically giggled.
"Yeah but before there is any dating going on, I want to get to know this Sheila more first," Theo huffed, crossing his arms as his protective big brother attitude was coming on.
"Oh come on, it's nice to see Kay and someone are in love, it's cute," Kara teased even more, causing Kay to hide her face even further amongst her large hoodie, "Aww see she's doing that adorable thing again."
"Haha, seems like someone can finally join me in on the whole bullying Kay thing now," Faelyn spoke out with a mischievous grin, staring teasingly at Kay.
"Now now, let's give the poor girl a break. Come on Faelyn, we need to head to class," Theo smiled somewhat teasingly at Kay, giving her head another pat before he lugged away a protesting Faelyn.
"I'm going to head to English, I'll see you two later!" Kara called, before she started rushing towards her own class.
"We should head to science then!" Allie agreed with a large smile.
"Yeah! Let's do this!" Kay said in a bright and bubbly manner, playfully pumping her fist in the air.
The two small females giggled, before they quickly wove their way through the thick crowds of students to their first period.
