Chapter 8*

JONI'S POV

I still can't believe what Kathlin told me about Dana but maybe I can accept the truth.

We're at school and I'm the only one in the hallway, then I hear squeaking. Like rubber against the floor. I turn around to see a cute boy in skinny jeans. He has the cutest curliest hair and is wearing a white and black snapback. He looks vaguely familiar. In that moment I choose to think about Dana, then stopped myself.

As I am getting ready to close my locker, I hear the squeaking getting closer. The mysterious boy comes up to me and asks me if I know a girl named Joni. I look up and see Dana. What's he doing here and why is he looking for me?

"Dana? What are you doing here?" I say, still shocked by what I see.

"I came to see you. Kathlin told me some stuff and I wanted to see if it was all true. I've really wanted to see you and talk to you. I didn't know what to do." He sounded choked like he was about to cry. He kept his cool and told me about what Kathlin told him.

"I can't believe her! Dana-" I get cut off by a sweet kiss. I can't beleive that Dana freaking Vaughns is kissing me. Yes, I am still on that fandom. When he lets go he seems relieved.

"It's okay," he says,"But maybe we can get Will to talk to her..." His voice started trailing off.

I'm still standing there speechless, by what just happened. I soon force myself to answer, "Yeah, um.. maybe we could." He smiles that sweet grin of his as he walks down the hallway out of the front doors. I stare after him, starstruck. Then my mind starts racing, as I think, 'Why did you lie Kathlin?"
