After the delivery, they were faced with another serious problem... The custody of Amore, in most cases the mother would have full custody and the father could visit, Isah unwilling to be apart from Amore decided that he would settle in hell until it was decided. So for a year while Hecate was healing from mental trauma he helped the demoness raise their child, though his presence caused some... Minor inconveniences... For one his presence hurt Samael's subordinates, in most cases he would have accidentally killed them all but in this case, he was not as strong as he once was for half of his core had been taken from him and placed into another being - Amore.
However, finally, Hecate relented and allowed Isah to take Amore on the weekends after she had healed, but this proved to be difficult for the saviour of mankind as he wanted his daughter with him every day...
And one day after Hecate made the mistake of pulling a prank on a couple of humans in their daughter's presence the kind-hearted Amore burst into tears and begged her mother to 'not hurt them!' Seeing her child in such a hysterical state Hecate finally relented and brought her to her father and asked a question that shocked him.
"Father?"
"What did you do to Amore this time?!" He got worried once he saw the teary-eyed angel hiding behind her mother's demon wings, she looked about two years of age with her rosy cheeks, deathly pale skin, brown curls, and her celestial blue eyes that shared the same kind beam as her father it was painful for anyone (even the angel of death) to see such a pure creature burst into tears.
"Mama hurt someone!" She sniffled her cheeks red from all the tears: "Is he okay?"
"For goodness sake Ami, all I did was make the drunk asshole crash his bike into the ocean... That's what he gets for hitting on me in the bar... Rather rudely may I add..."
But Amore both being innocent and kind-hearted did not understand what 'hitting on me.' Meant exactly. But she did understand that landing in cold water at night was not the best thing...
But Samael was of a different opinion, the man kinda had it coming. But that was still no excuse for Hecate letting Amore see this... So he called Isah and his brother and Michael was more than glad the explain the Hecate that shoving a man into freezing water was NOT the right way to raise an angel... Or any other species except for maybe demons...
Hecate felt bad and she could well see Isah's distress in Amore's hysteria, even after the man had suggested that Hecate 'ditch the brat and come with him for some'fun.' She still worried about the man... It indeed seemed that she had taken after her father more than she had her... She had to accept that fact, Amore would never be like her... Maybe that's a good thing. Her worst fear is that Amore is going to end up getting hurt, but even now she was hurt because of her mother's actions... And what's more, Isah was hurt seeing her cry as well... He'd most likely settle in Hell again! So she made an offer no one had ever thought she would:
"Isah... You can take her up to heaven with you... To live... I'll take the weekends."
However, Isah had another plan too:
"You come too!"
He had the same kind smile she would often see in her daughter... Like father like daughter... The apple doesn't fall far from the tree they say, but in this case, it was as if the apple had even never left the side of the tree...
"But I am a demon, remember?" Hecate was shocked at his response.
"But your father is Samael... So you have a light core! We will settle in purgatory!"
"A-Are you sure?" Hecate asked him still rather embarrassed after the bar fight incident... Though she was just protecting her daughter... Who could blame her?
"Yes!" Isah smiled happily taking both, Hecate and Amore's hands in his.
"Wee, let's go!" Amore, the kind little 'donut' as many who knew her called her beamed happily, but then she remembered the man who had insulted her in the bar and grew sad again:
"Can we make sure he's okay? I don't want someone to be hurt because of me..."
"Sure!" Isah beamed also feeling pity for the man Hecate had shoved into life cold water in her current trip to England and as suspected he was hospitalized but alive... Unfortunately, it seems... Hecate was still embarrassed over the whole incident but quickly got over it when Amore grabbed her hand and smiled up at her.
Soon, Amore, Hecate, and Isah flew up to the seventh heaven, a golden place with flowers stretching across the fields and settled there, at least it was a better deal than before for Isah as now he would be able to see Amore more often. There were even times when Hecate would visit her family in hell and Isah would take the young guardian of love to the golden palace but he left her alone and soon he would know how it felt for Mary and his stepfather Joseph felt, as it seemed that Amore had woken up from her nap and followed the archangel or the messenger - Gabriel curiously while he was doing his duties. It was not till he was nearly finished did her realise the presence of the child...
His face went from 'I have no words', to happy sigh, and then he cuddled her smiling...
"Ahh!" His subordinates panicked and ran around when they beheld such a scene:
"The worlds ending! Lord Gabriel is smiling!"
This got the worried Isah's attention and he flew down to see what was happening, suffice to say that they have an interesting story to tell Hecate once she returned... Now to figure out how to get Amore from the messenger angel...
