The battle of kings and Queens (Fanfiction of Guardian of nine heavens.)

Chapter twenty three: The curse of Fate and the birth of A phoenix.

A sixteen-year old Zia Embers sat on a bench... Her parents had kicked her out once they had found out she was three months pregnant. They believed that she had been partying around, however that was far from the truth the father of her unborn baby was Kujaku Hoshiro. Well she did not know it at the time until he turned into a Phoenix and flew away, then she put two and two together... Yeah that was not one of her brightest moments. But she would not abort her child, much to her parents rage... And that was the reason she was sitting there now. She knew her actions were indeed selfish because of her child being conceived first it was now known that the child Lasy Samantha was carrying was not a Phoenix because Hoshiro had inflicted the wrath of both the time God and Fate, and half of the court before they had cursed him to not be able to produce anymore children that are Phoenix's and only due to Lord Karma and Lady Choice's intervention that were they blessed with one more. However, it was not to be for it was her unborn daughter who now held it... It seemed no matter how you run from Fate, you run to it. Now their only chance was Zia aborting the child to which she refused to do. So her parents kicked her out. And she would not go to her child's father due to her fear of him forcefully aborting the child himself, she could not confirm it but she woukd rather not play tag with her child's life. So now she had to bite the bullet and survive on her own.

Zia was just waiting for a bus that would take her to Alls, that is where many hybrids dwell. Her child would get better treatment there... Hopefully...

Suddenly a white bus pulled over one that was obviously the bus to Alls for it held the Allsian sigma, a star and a butterfly. The door opened and the driver a old asian man with a beard and sunglasses as to hide his tiredness from driving so many shifts. He looked at Zia and smiled:

"Getting in?"

Zia nodded and hopped in carrying with her what few belongings she had and as she got on the bus she handed the ticket she had prebought before sitting down on a seat and falling fast asleep, the seat being the only comfortable place she had to rest for a long time. At least she would not have to endure another night on the street in the cold December winds now even for just a day she could rest on the warm heated bus to Alls or rather Sapphirion the capital of Alls surely there she would be able to find a shelter that would take in halfings.

The guardian of Alls was Xin Linghun the twin sister of Mao Rihei, the eldest representing the mental strength volition and the other the emotional strength emotions. Like Rihei Linghun created an heir for herself but unlike her sister the father of her child was Lord Michael and her child's name was Xin Jia or rather as her people loved to call her Lisa Alls the current reigning Queen of Alls, Lady Jia was the lady of feelings, thus ruled based on her emotions. And emotions are often unpredictable by nature... Regardless her people seemed to love and revere the young Allsian fairy Queen. Yes fairies as in butterfly wings... Linghun was a black butterfly that 'graced' humanity with emotions. Her daughter was the golden butterfly so be weary the next time you see either for it might be the Guardians if emotions paying you a visit.

In truth Zia was dead scared of the queen but now she had no other option for her child's survival... So she bit the bullet and continued on with life as it was - She spread her legs and screwed up badly for not just herself and nature but her child, and if she was going to be punished for her stupidity then fine! Let her be punished but she would not punish her child - SHE was the one who put her child's needs over Natures it was SHE who would accept punishment. Not her child who was as fresh as snow.

"All of for Alls! All on for central city!" The driver announced but as Zia was leaving he pulled her aside and gave her something - a store bought waffle. She looked at the man in awe and he just smiled widely:

"I am a grandfather of two little ones and father of three adults. Be safe child and if you need work just ask for Genji at bus station. There is also a good shelter just a block up from the entrance of the border, it accepts both humans and halfings." Genji explained now he truly did look like a grandpa who would put up with tea parties and dress up...

"Thank you so much." Zia thanked him walking off of the bus and to the boarders of Alls where people made sure they weren't spies and as all of you could guess... Zia was not a spy. Just another mother who got screwed by a spirit and was looking for shelter of course the guards who also ran on emotion let her in.

Zia thanked them and strolled into Sapphirion while eating her waffle. She had found what Genji had suggested of her to find the shelter, they of course after learning of her age and her three month old took her in, the rulers were she would get two hot meals a day, and a shower. But had to leave every morning before 10:30 am and return before 1 am.

She having nowhere else to go agreed, she settled in her bed and though the heating was weak she fell right asleep in the morning as promised she got her breakfast and then she left to find a doctor who could medicate her on her halfing child.

She arrived at the hospital late in the morning just around 11:30. The doctor was available so he met with her.

"Hello my name is Dr. Ryan and I will be your doctor today." A young half-human half fairy man sat in front of the young mother, he had blue butterfly wings and black hair with caramel skin. We wore the usual attire for a doctor and had sharp almond eyes.

"My name is Zia Embers and I would like to know the proper medication for a half-human half-spirit child... And there's something special about this child to which I don't want leaking out of this room." Zia explained and Ryan nodded:

"Even if the Queen of Alls should ask I won't tell her anything." Ryan nodded as a fairy he too was a creature of emotion and seeing a mother this terrified of something when he could help hurt his core.

Thus Zia told him everything and Ryan of course agreed to keep it a secret and even offered to deliver the baby, he gave her the right medical attention and warned her to be careful with this child for in his words:

"When you deliver this child a thousand doors of death shall open."

That of course scared Zia but she had other problems to deal with she took Genji's offer and began working as a receptionist at the front desk from the early morning shift to late evening. So as the months past Zia was able to move out of the shelter and gain citizenship in Alls. Soon in the early mornings of August 18 a little baby girl entered the world she had imperial violet to red hair and three long peacock feathers of the same colour but they had golden to purple spots in them, yet she also proved to indeed be a Phoenix with her tears of flame...

"Aww, don't cry my little cutie!" Zia cuddled her little flame monster in her arms careful no to get burnt in the process. The child stopped crying after feeling her mothers soothing arms and gazed up at her with her ruby-like eyes. Her pale skin was as white as snow despite the flame monster she was and her bright smile reminded Zia of the light of the sun... The sun! A lightbulb appeared on Zia's head and she cuddled the newborn to her chest:

"From now on your Aelia Embers! As for your middle name..." Zia thought on trying to think of a middle name for her child.

"I see you have decided on a name..." Ryan smiled for it was he who had gotten Zia and her new baby through the harsh labour.

"Yup! Her name is Aelia Ryan Embers!" Zia exclaimed and Ryan blushed hearing that the child had his middle name.

"Katerina..." Ryan sighed.

"Huh?" Zia became curious.

"My name is the middle name of the silver knights first life. Her first lifes name was Katerina Ryan Bles... Since it would be weird to name a boy Katerina they went for the second name, Ryan. Since she is a girl her name is Katerina, or should be its up to you..." Ryan explained blushing:

"My mother always did look up to that kinda lady..."

After Ryan's explanation Zia nodded before exclaiming once more:

"Okay, then she is Aelia Katerina Embers!"

Suddenly the door opened and in came Genji and his wife with some warm food and some baby gifts for their work mate and friend. Over all it was a good August 18 that day, the day Zia's little sunshine came into the world... Aelia Katerina Embers was born.
