16. Appointment

I adjust my oversized hoodie against my massive stomach, looking in the mirror.

I'm 7 months pregnant and going for my second last baby scan.

The heartbeat of my unborn in so beautiful, I can't seem to stop thinking about it.

Liam and Harry promised they would help Louis and I choose baby names later on. And I can't wait.

"Darling, are you ready to leave?" Louis' head pops round the corner of my old bedroom door.

I sigh and nod, with a big grin on my face.

"See you later, love!" Danielle smiled and kissed my cheek.

"Bye mom." I giggled and followed Louis to the car.

"Miss Payne?" A nurse walked into the waiting room. I raised my hand and coughed awkwardly, so she'd see me.

She smiled and took my hand, heading towards room 403.

"Okay, you get comfy and Doctor Ronan will be with you in no time!" She said in a cheery tone and left with a clipboard in her hand.

"Nervous?" Louis asked as he rested his right hand on mine, tracing his soft fingers over the back of my hand.

"Course not. I am excited though! And I can't wait to choose baby names" I exclaimed.

He chuckled lightly and nodded.

The baby is due in February. I literally cannot wait for this time to come! And to start a family, with Louis.

"Ah! Ariana, how are you doing sweetheart?" Doctor Ronan asked as he closed the door gently.

"I'm great Doc! Thank you." I responded politely.

"Okay, let's get started."

"Well everything is great so far! Just come back near the end of January, the hospital will let you know when your next appointment is." Doc said and wrote something down on his booklet.

"Thanks Doc." Louis said.

"Oh and would you like to know the sex of your child, or wait for a surprise?" He asked.

Louis looked at me and nodded slowly, he wanted to wait.

"We'll wait, thanks doc!" I said and we walked out of the room hand on hand.

Time to choose baby names!
