My Family- Chapter 16

"You're going to wake them. Shhhh" someone whispered as a camera shutter went off.

"You're being too loud stop it" another whispered.

"Just put that thing away" another said as I felt Kirito snuggling closer into my chest.

His face was now resting perfectly in between my boobs so I could feel his warm breath on my bare skin making me feel a bit warmer.

"Ok someone take Arata outside he's ready to pounce at Kirito" a girl said.

Arata?

I opened my eyes and turned to face the direction the voice came from.

"Arata" I questioned softly as my vision became more focused and I locked eyes with him.

Kirito was starting to wake up while Arata walked closer to me and first held my hand then smiled at me.

"Welcome back" he said happily as I could feel someone glaring behind me.

I looked around the room and was surprised to see everyone. Tears formed in my eyes as I brought my hands to my mouth.

"Sora. Arata. Mint" I called my previous guild members as tears came running "Agil. Klein. Kirito. I'm back."

I smiled at all of them as they enveloped me in a hug. They were the ones I was most comfortable with, but I felt bad for leaving out the other girls which names I don't remember. Oh! Expect Asuna.

"Alcea... this is Rika Shinozaki also known as Lisbeth in SAO, Keiko Ayano also known as—" he said but I interrupted.

"Silica and then that's Suguha Kirigaya also know as Leafa in ALO and then you're... Rinko Koujiro" I said softly as I set my eyes on her.

The tears ran harder this time as I called her name "... mama."

She quickly walked beside me as she engulfed me in a hug.

"I wasn't able to save him" I cried "I-I killed papa. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

"Shh Shh It's ok it's not you're fault" she said as I looked at her ready to argue but she held a finger to my lips "he already scheduled to fry his brain once the game was cleared. So either way he still would've been gone."

"But I am responsible for his early ending. I am just as guilty..." I whispered as Mint came to sit next to me and I quickly engulfed her in a hug.

"Mint... I missed you so much" I said as she hugged me back.

"Me too. You don't how much we tried to do to get you back. I'm so happy you're finally here" she said as she pulled away and wiped my tears.

I looked at Sora and Arata waiting for them to join in.

"Well what are you waiting for get in here you two" I laughed as Mint and I pulled them into a group hug.

Arata's gaze and smile never left me. But the feelings I thought I had for him still weren't there. Oh my goodness. Arata still might have feelings for me...but I'm not certain. Maybe he moved on and just really missed me that's why he can't stop staring at me like that?

We let go and I stared back at Kirito who was glaring at someone.

Ok what's going on?

"You're being discharged today since your injuries healed faster than they normally do. Don't answer the doctors questions leave them to me, okay" Rinko said as I nodded "I'll leave you with your friends while I sign you out."

"We heard you were apparently shot by...." Klein said but his voice faded not wanting to say Sugou's name "but your injuries are healing faster than normal so doctors still wanted to run tests on you."

Tests... experiments.

"She's not an object" Arata yelled "they shouldn't force tests and tests upon her."

Everyone stared at Arata as I smiled at him, "thanks, Arata."

I felt someone grab my hand so I looked down and saw Kirito's hand grabbing onto me a bit more firmer than usual as he looked away. While Rinko went through the whole process of signing me out we chatted a lot.

Mint told me she opened The SAO Survivor School which is a special school established in Nishitokyo, Tokyo for the survivors of Sword Art Online who are still minors in terms of age. She even mentioned she was dating Sora. Arata and Sora both help her manage the school and she told me once I'm in shape I will help them run in if I'm up to it. Agil runs his own bar with his wife and always welcomes us during the day. The other girls are going to school. Kirito had apparently lost himself without me by his side and was desperate in trying to find me. He barely took care of himself supposedly. I stared back at him who was glaring at his sister and Mint since they ratted him out.

"I'm sorry everyone" I said looking at them "for worrying you."

"Don't worry about it" Mint exclaimed "you're finally back with us! That's all that matters."

"Yea" I said gloomy but then turned to Kirito staring at him softly, not wanting to pressure him "what are you going to do with me now?"

Everyone 'oo-ed ' not understanding the situation, but then I looked at them sadly and they stopped. Arata was the only one not making sound effects and stared at me like he knew what was coming.

"Akihiko Kayaba saved my life when I was little. Him and Rinko took me in, but I was far from saving at the time so he ran all sorts of experiments in order to bring me back. For some reason he found me intriguing and didn't give up. In the end, he was able to accomplish the impossible. I was already gone, but he brought me back" I said taking in a breath as everyone was on staring at me intently "Code AlceaRosea-WSAFD001 or Alcea Rosea- World Seed Artificial FlashDrive 001" I responded as I felt a tear run down my cheek.

Why do I keep crying?!

"I'm not entirely human. I don't even know what I consider as" I tried laughing.

"You're human" Mint said holding up my shoulders then catching one of my tears "see you have emotions just like the rest of us. You're sad and unaccepting of these outcomes, but trust me you're still the same Alcea Rosea that we love and will always cherish."

Mint...

"There's not a 'what am I going to do with you', Alcea" Kirito said softly "that's a decision for you to make. What are you going to do from here on now is your choice."

Kirito...

"Alcea" Rinko called gently walking in "ready?"

My new life is just starting. I can start anew and leave everything in the past. Even the traumatizing memories of when I was younger.

"Yes" I chirped happily with tears of joy.

Finally I can go home. Back with the people I love.
