Shin's hands trembled as he wrote everything that he could still remember about Sayaka on the tattered walls of his room. Her name, birthdate, the first time they met, their wedding day and the memories they made together.

 My memories are fading.

 No, please. Sayaka... I...

I don't want to forget.

He gushed down drowning in insanity. Torn photos which only contained him, broken glass pieces from the frames that was lying on the floor, broken vases, tattered sheets of paper and a broken person who wept for his loss were the only things in that room. The phone kept ringing but was ignored. It went on to ring 2 or 3 more times until Shin had it and threw a fragment of a broken picture frame on the phone. The frame piece hit a button which made the phone beep and play the voice message.

"Dr. Yoshioka, we need you back in the lab a.s.a.p. We still need to work on the Gisei virus and your work load here is left hanging. Get back to work or boss might actually fire you!" It was Ren's voice.

Gisei virus? It's supposed to be Sayaka who's handling that. Why are they asking me? This is twisted. He thought as he laughed while more tears fell from his eyes. It was painful to bear. Why is this happening? He continued to write more of what he could remember even though his memories of Sayaka continued to fade into vagueness and obscurity.

Baby

"S-she said we were going to have one! But..."

Void?

"What was all that? I didn't understand. Life? Death? Souls? And..."

Impalers?

"Those scums... this is their entire fault! This shouldn't have happened. I didn’t have to lose her. Our lives were mere playthings to them."

Justice?

"Ridiculous. That's just bullshit. Monsters playing as heroes. There is no such thing as justice in this goddamn world."

His heart started to fill with hatred and his mind gradually became distraught; thinking very hard how to save her; how not to completely forget about her. The more he remembers her, the more his memories became cloudy. He continually shouted her name as the memory of her smile faded. I'll join you. I'd rather die than live without you, Sayaka! He grabbed a piece of glass and aimed at his neck.

"Do you want her back?" Shin heard a voice that echoed in the room. His eyes widened, as he nodded instinctively and dropped the glass piece. He scanned the room for another person but all he saw was tattered pieces of paper, broken glass and vases, destroyed furniture and his reflection which showed on the glass pieces.

"Will you do anything for your cause?" The voice spoke again.

Confused, Shin turned over a table and shouted "Who are you?!"

"Even if it means taking the life of another?" Kai's intimidating eyes caught Shin's. Shin gasped as Kai appeared out of nowhere. His knees trembled and he fell on the floor, freaked out.

"Scheduler, everything is almost ready. I have set up the remaining pieces of our plans." Kai reported.
