"Bye, Janina" paalam ko sa kaibigan bago umalis. Maaga natapos ang klase naming ngayon kaya naman maaga kaming naka uwi pero mamayang gabi ay saamin siya makikitulog. We don't have project to be done, she just wants me to talk about Fay and I. Malayo pa lamang ay natatanaw ko na mayroong nagkakagulo sa harap ng gate naming kaya naman agad kong nilapitan iyon.
"Hey stop!" bulyaw ko "Chance? Asher?" What the hell is happening? Why are they fighting?
"Stell?" Ani Asher
"What's happening? Can anyone answer me?" tanong ko ngunit walang sumagot saakin. Pinapasok ko sila sa bahay upang ma usap ngunit wala paring umiimik ni isa. "Are we going to stay like this? Chance, what happen?" muling tanong ko. "I tell him not to bother you" ani Chance.
"What? Chance will you stop being a jerk? What did he do to you to make you this angry?"
"Nothing. You are my friend and I am supposed to protect you"
"To protect me from whom? From him or you?" I hissed in anger
"Stell." ani Chance
"Go home now. We will talk maybe tomorrow or the day after tomorrow."
"Fine." Then he exited the door.
"Asher, why did you do that? You knew that he is my friend." tanong ko. "Like him I am trying to protect you." he humbly explains. "You really don't have to do that. I can take good care of myself so you really don't have to bother yourself."
"You're not bothering me. I care for you. I want to protect you. I want to make you happy." He said. I know he is sincere, but he doesn't really have to do this.
"Why? I mean...I don't"
"Because I like you...more than just a friend."
I was speechless. Did I hear him right? Did he just confess his feelings for me? "Ahmm...Hmm" was all I could say
"You don't have to answer me (then a long pause). This is why I didn't tell you, because I'm afraid...I'm afraid to lose you, I'm afraid to ruin our friendship. I don't know why I feel this way...I just know that I want to make you happy, be with you, to take good care of you, and protect you! I really like you – but I know you don't look at me the way I look at you" he explains
I don't know If really like him...but I am happy with him around me. We just stood and look to each other when someone entered the door-
"Stell!" Janina shouted in excitement then look to the man next to me – I look at her only to see her shocked, na para bang nakakita ito ng multo.
"Janina" ani Asher at bakas sa kaniyang mukha na para bang hindi niya ito inaasahan
