Miraculous: The Reveal

Chapter 10

Adrien was almost done with his photoshoot. He was doing all the poses that were instructed but his mind wasn't focused nor paying attention to them. All he could think about was that he would go see Marinette after he was done. When he was done, he asked Nathalie about Marinette. She informed him that she had been let go from the hospital and had headed home. He then followed her into the car and headed home.

Once he got home, he told Nathalie that he was exhausted (which was true), so he would skip dinner and go straight to bed. He went upstairs, closed the door behind him, and said, "Plagg, Claws Out!"

Adrien then transformed into Chat Noir and leaped out of his window. He jumped from building to building until he got to Marinette's house. He jumped onto the balcony and knocked on the door leading to her room.

"You can come in! She's awake," said Tikki while poking her head through the wall.

Chat Noir then opened the door and went into the room.

"Hello...M'lady," said Chat Noir.

M'lady?! When did Chat Noir figure out my identity?! Marinette thought. But as she tried to figure out the answer, everything from the day of the bite came back to her. 

She looked down and was unable to look at Chat Noir.

"What's wrong?" asked Chat Noir, worried.

"I bet you're disappointed that it was me..." said Marinette.

"Disappointed? Why would I be disappointed?" said Chat Noir.

"Because I'm not the girl you expected. Under the mask I'm clumsy, a simple girl, and a complete disaster!" she said.

"Princess... you might think that you are those things. But, Mask or no mask, you are brave, talented, smart, creative, I could go on forever...! Those qualities are what makes you, you," said Chat Noir approaching her.

"And as for me... claws in... I'm just me," said Chat Noir turning into Adrien.

What?! Adrien is Chat Noir! Chat Noir is Adrien! Adrien has been flirting with me this whole time! I kissed Adrien! I have been rejecting Adrien this whole time! thought Marinette all in the span of a couple milliseconds.

Her lack of a response and facial expression worried Adrien.

"A-Are you disappointed it was me?" asked Adrien looking down.

"NO! I mean I'm just shocked. Because the guy I've been rejecting this whole time is the guy who I have the biggest crush on! So big of a crush I couldn't even form a full sentence in front of him until just now!...And I just said that out loud didn't I?" said Marinette while waving her arms frantically.

"So this whole time my competition was myself?" said Adrien, a smirk tugging at his face.

"Y-yes?" said Marinette, timidly.

Adrien then started laughing. It was such a coincidence and what happened was so weird, he couldn't help it. Marinette started laughing too. They both laughed in harmony for a while. When they both finished laughing they stared other's eyes for a while without saying a word.

Adrien then walked over to Marinette and broke the silence by asking a simple but difficult question.

"W-Will you be my girlfriend?" asked Adrien nervously.

"Yes!" said Marinette.

They looked back into each other's eyes and kissed.
