Miraculous: The Reveal

Chapter 7

Adrien couldn't recall the details from the hospital. It all seemed blurry. All he remembered was that he walked in and they got her a room. Adrien stayed outside silently crying. A while later, Marinette's parents came in with their friends.

"What happened?" asked Alya.

"I found Marinette outside trying to save some people who were stuck inside a car. We tried to get them out and finally pulled open the doors. As we were swimming back to the building Ladybug did her 'Miraculous Ladybug' but then this shark came out of nowhere and bit her. I thought the magical ladybugs would do something about it. But, I guess, since it happened afterwards, they didn't. So, I brought her here," made up Adrien, which wasn't too far from the truth.

Adrien stayed there for almost a whole day, waiting for Marinette to wake up. He hadn't slept at all. He would have probably stayed there longer if it hadn't been for Nathalie.

Nathalie had informed Adrien that his father requested him to go home and get some sleep. She also reminded him that he had a photoshoot on the next day.

Adrien thought about it for a couple minutes, not wanting to leave Marinette. But, eventually, he decided that it would be better to follow his father's orders and go home.

Once Adrien got home he lay awake in bed. He couldn't fall asleep, the shark biting Ladybug and the moments after kept repeating in his mind. He still had trouble wrapping his mind around all of it.

"Kid... you better get some sleep. You haven't slept in more than a day. Plus, you have a photoshoot tomorrow... Think about it this way, once you're done with it you can visit Marinette!" said Plagg.

"You're right, Plagg..." said Adrien while yawning.

Adrien then closed his eyes and fell asleep.
