-2 days before Kenma's birthday-

Kenma was again, playing on his psp. Not minding anyone. Kuroo sighed as looked at his friend. 'Kenma, talk with us. You're always on that game.' Kuroo said as he rubbed his temple. 'Hm, ok...' Kenma said, closing up his game and sat the game down. Silence then took over team. No one knew what to say, so they stay silent.

Kenma tugged on Kuroo's jacket making the latter turn to him and tilted his head. 'You said you guys wanted to talk...' Kenma said, his voice timid. Slowly, he held his game in his hand, slung his bag on his shoulder and walked out.

'Eh...? Ok, that was weird.' Yamamoto suddenly said. 'Yeah. Even though Kenma-san is quiet, I've never seen him act like that.' Lev said from where he sat. Kuroo sigh, they're right. Not even he himself had seen Kenma act like that. 'Yeah, but for now, let's focus with the task at hand.'

The others eyes beemed after hearing what their captain had said. 'Wait, are we really doing it like that?' Yaku asked concern. 'Sadly for the plan to work, yes..' Kuroo sighed.

The plan was, ignoring Kenma. Where everyone would ignore Kenma and make a surprise party for the birthday boy. Kuroo was the one who made the plan. Yet, he knew how much Kenma hated to be ignored.

They've decided to prepare the decorations first. They wanted to have the party at the Nekoma gymnasium. Yaku was going to bake the cake, with the help from Lev and Kuroo. The others, you already know their job.

-1 day away-

To say Kenma was frustrated was an understatement. He was furious. But, being able to hide his feelings well, no one noticed. It had started when he arrived at school. Well, maybe before that. Usually, Kuroo would already arrive at his front door to walk together to school. Today, no one awaited for him.

"Maybe he just had some assignment that he wants to finish?" Kenma thought as he walked to school. Upon arriving though, he was sad as he saw Kuroo hanging out with other students. He just looked away and headed towards his class. Kuroo, who obviously noticed this, felt guilty. He knew Kenma had no friends, yet, there he is. His only friend ignoring him. He sighed and went towards Yaku.

'Hey, you noticed Kenma's face right?' Kuroo asked his friend. Yaku sigh. 'Of course I did. He went straight past me!' Yaku said, a little out of volume. 'Hhh, please let this day be over quickly. I hate seeing Kenma like this.' Yaku said as he walked towards his class.

-Time skip-
-After afternoon practice-

Kenma left as soon as Kuroo said that practice was over. Not bothering to catch up to him, the others just talked with each other telling others about their guilt.

'Ahh, it felt as if I committed a crime! Please, end this suffering!' Lev said as he pulled his hair. 'I know! It hurts me seeing him walking out from his class passing my class with closed eyes! His lips even quivered!' Yaku shouted.

The other Nekoma volleyball team members sighed in guilt as the complaints were made. 'That's why, let's finish this up quickly. Go, take out the decorations. Hey, Yaku?' Kuroo said 'Yea..?' Yaku asked. 'Do you have enough time to make the cake?' 'Yeah, I do. I got Shoyo to help out. Is that alright?' 'Yea, I was actually thinking about inviting him. I already told him the plan.' Kuroo said. Yaku just nodded and went to help Lev set up the decorations.
