Meeting

(Time Skip at Elena's dinner party)

Kayla was invited to Elena's at her so she went home for dressed in her favorite sunflower yellow sweater with black tights and her yellow sparkle toms got her dry erase marker and board putting it in her bag then got into her car and drove to her friends house.

When Kayla got to the Gilbert's house she knocked once and waited patiently for the door to open which it did and Elena and Bonnie greeted her. "How was school Kaya?" Elena asked looking into the younger girls greyish green eyes. "It was good" Kayla said hating her stuttering. "You don't have to be nervous it's just gonna be us and Stefan tonight ok" Elena said looking at her younger friend who happen to be the same age as Jeremy knowing alot of people expected Kayla to hang out with people her age she loved hanging out with the older teens and she loved spending time with Elena and Bonnie even Caroline because they got her and understand her situation.

When the door bell ranged Elena got up to see who it was leaving her with Bonnie then Elena came back inside the kitchen with her new a man with green eyes and brown hair. "Stefan this is Kayla she's another one of my best friends" the burnett said looking at her boyfriend then at Kayla and Bonnie with a warm smile.
"It's nice to meet you Kayla" the green eyed man said while the younger girl shaking his hand staying silent not wanting to embarrass herself with her speech disorder.

The younger girl wasn't paying attention to what was being said she blocked out what was being said until the door bell ranged scaring Kaya.

The young girl wanted to see what was going on she hated to be alone. "Kayla this is Damon Stefan's older brother" The brunette said looking at her younger friend seeing she was shy. "Hello beautiful" the older Salvatore said grabbing the girl's hand kissing her knuckles causing her to blush.

As the time was going by Caroline and Damon were drilling into everyone. "So what's with you beautiful why so quiet?" The blue eyed Salvatore asked his piercing eye's staring into in her eyes. "Oh she doesn't talk much it has everything to do with her stuttering" Caroline said rolling her eyes while Elena, Bonnie and Stefan looked at her in shock. "Caroline that was out of line!" Bonnie said standing up in fury her green eyes held so much anger so she gently took the younger girl into the kitchen.
"You were out of line" Elena said shaking her head at the blonde then went into the kitchen seeing the younger girl in Bonnie's arms crying. "I don't know what I did for Caroline to hate me!" Kayla said stuttering worse then she normally do tears falling down her face. "She doesn't hate you she's just acting childish and petty" Bonnie said looking at the younger girl not noticing Caroline come in the kitchen with a sad look on her face. "I'm sorry I said those mean thing's in there I didn't mean to" the blonde said while Kayla wanted to forgive her oldest friend but what she said was mean and it hurt her feelings. "I'm gonna go home" the younger girl stuttered walking out the kitchen ignoring the blonde.

Going out the kitchen the younger girl wasn't really paying attention so when she bumped into the older Salvatore she nervously looked up. "It was nice to meet you Kayla and hopefully we'll see each other soon" Damon said with a wicked smile while the girl nodded what she didn't know is him and Stefan heard the girl's conversation in the kitchen.
The blue eyed vampire watched the girl leave with a smirk sensing his brother behind him. "What are you up to Damon?" Stefan asked looking at his brother. "You'll have to wait and see baby brother" the Raven haired Salvatore said with a evil smirk walking out the house with Caroline dropping the annoying girl off at her house but got Kayla's address so Damon took his car to the Salvatore house then vamp sped to the address that was given to him.

When he got there the older saw a beautiful two story house not he heard someone playing the piano. The blue eyed vampire listened to the melody wanting to get a good look at who was playing so he vamped sped up a tree to the balcony seeing Kayla playing she looked at peace. Just staring at her what Damon didn't realize is she looked at him. "Damon what are you doing here and how you find where I live?" The young girl stuttered nervously. "I came by to tell you that Caroline is sorry for what she said to you and I heard you playing" the older Salvatore said leaning on the balcony. "I don't have anything to say anything to say to Caroline she hurt my feelings" Kayla stuttered looking at the Raven haired vampire. "It's cold outside come in I'll make you some sunflower tea" the girl stuttered while the Raven haired man smirked walking over the threshold now he was invited in he can come in and out as he pleased.

As the time went by Damon and Kayla got to know each other and they enjoyed each other's company, The two went upstairs back to Kayla's room and Damon wanted to hear what she was playing so she played seeing the Raven haired Salvatore sit down next to her.

When the older Salvatore left he went to go feed then went to his house going to his room going to bed.

Then next morning Caroline went over to Kayla's house wanting to apologise the door opening by Taraji Kayla's mom. "Good morning Mrs Smith is Kaya home?" The blonde asked looking at the woman with big blue eye's. "She's here and she told me what you said about her listen Caroline she struggles really hard to fit in and with her disorder its hard for her to talk and much harder when she's nervous or put under pressure and the pressure you out her under she doesn't want to talk to you right now but trust me if you get her some sunflower's she'll forgive you" Taraji said looking at the blonde. "I will thank you" Caroline said smiling hugging her friends mother then went to the flower shop wanting to make a delivery of sunflower's for Kayla then she went to Damon's house wanting to see him but was told by Stefan that the Raven haired vampire wasn't there so she went to the grill seeing Elena and Bonnie so she went over to them wanting to spend time with them. "Hey girl's" the blonde said getting the two burnett's attention. "Hey Care Kayla texted and told us you sent her some sunflower's I know she's so happy" Bonnie said smiling at her oldest friend. "Yeah I know I was super wrong and for that I'm so sorry" Caroline said looking at the two younger girl's. "We forgive you Care I have to go meet Stefan" Elena said standing up hugging her best friends then went to meet her boyfriend.

At the Smith's house Kayla was playing her piano wanting to work on some music wanting to let Damon hear what she came up with.

By the end of the day she went to take a shower and take her medicine then went to bed dreaming about her being normal but that's the problem she'll love with her stuttering and she'll just have to live with it.
