The Truth Will Set You Free

The next day Kayla was cleaning the house not knowing what else to do.

After she was finished cleaning Kayla decided to go to the grill so she put on dark grey joggers and a black sweater making sure her cuts old and new were hidden. she went to the grill ordering chicken fried steak and fries not knowing the blue eyed Salvatore was at the bar watching.

Walking over to Kayla Damon made sure to make some noise so he didn't scare her so he made sure his boots were stomping loudly on the ground,  grabbing the chair in front of the girl he sat down while she looked up at him with a smile on her face. 

"Good morning Sunshine how are you on this fine day?" Damon asked looking at the girl with a smirk.  "Morning. I'm doing good" Kayla said slowly trying not to stutter but she fail which caused her to sigh sadly which was noticed by the older Salvatore so he grabbed her hand causing her to wince but she played it off as a cough.  "You alright?" Damon asked in concern.  "Yeah I chocked on my tea" Kayla lied hoping he didn't sense it but after seeing him nod Kayla let out the breathe she didn't know she was holding in.
"So what you do all day?" The blue eyed vampire asked looking at the the girl across from him.  "I just cleaned the house then came here cause I got hungry" Kayla stuttered looking at the Raven haired Salvatore. 

Damon and Kayla walked around Mystic falls laughing then they decided to go back to the Salvatore house to watch a movie.

After the movie Kayla fell asleep on Damon's lap brown wavy hair falling over her face.  Damon moved hair away from the girl on his lap face seeing how truly beautiful she is.  not wanting it to be any weirder the raven haired vampire moved her up to his room making sure she was tucked in but for some unknown reason he didn't want to leave so he stayed laying next to her on top of the duvet not knowing what came over him but before he knew it his eyes closed and was sound asleep.

When Kayla woke up the first thing she noticed is that she wasn't in the living room anymore;  she was in someone's bedroom which was huge and spacious with a king size bed and dark sheets and pillowcases.  She looked over and saw the she was the only one in the room she had a dream that Damon slept next to her holding her tightly in his strong arm's.  But that was only a dream there's no way that Damon would like her she's not as beautiful as the girl's he was with the other day.

In her thoughts were interrupted when Damon walked in looking at her with a small smile on his face.  "I see your your finally awake" the blue eyed Salvatore said pouring a drink for himself.  Nodding not knowing what to say or in her case stutter she decided to stay silent.  "You ok?" the raven haired man asked looking at the girl in concern.  Not wanting to embarrass herself she nodded again.

Damon didn't like that Kayla was quiet he knew something was wrong and he wanted to know now.

"Sunshine what are you hiding?" The blue eyed Vampire  asked looking at the girl  with a serious look.  the girl couldn't look at Damon in the eyes which pissed Damon off even more.  "Kayla what are you hiding?" Damon demanded his icy blue eyes cold.  "I don't want to talk about it" the girl said sadly with tears in her eyes.  "I swear I'm not lying to you" Kayla stuttered embarrassed she covered her face.  The older Salvatore hated to see Kayla cry so he gently took her hand in his about to say something when he felt the bandages on her hand.  "What happen to your hand?" Damon asked in concern.  Not knowing what to say Kayla looking down at the ground wishing it would open and make her disappear.  "I got upset at I started to cut again" Kayla said while tears falling down her face.  Damon was so upset he was speechless.  "What do you mean again?" Damon asked trying to stay calm.  "Why do you even care? You said I'm just a girl that goes to your brother's school!" Kayla yelled not knowing why she was so angry as even after he apologized she still held that against him wanting him to feel her pain.  "Are you fucking serious right now!" Damon yelled almost vamping out.  "I know what I said was wrong but that doesn't give you the right to cut yourself!" The older Salvatore yelled trying everything to not grab the girl by her neck.  "You don't care about me so just leave me alone" Kayla stuttered grabbing her things and left but was stopped when she felt a hand grip her arm.  "If I didn't care about you I would've made it known." Damon said looking at her his icy blue eyes staring into her eyes.  "I'm sorry I yelled at you that was a mean thing to do" Kayla said her hazel eyes staring innocently into Damon's.  "It's alright sunshine.  You don't have to tell me about your cuts either but I just want you to know that I care about you and you can talk to me about anything".  Damon said while the girl nodded her head and hugged Damon in which the older Salvatore wrapped his arms around her small frame.  "I have clothes in my car is alright if I showered and changed?" Kayla asked innocently which made Damon's cold dead heart melt.  "Yeah sure I'll walk you out to your car" the older Salvatore said feeling protective of her which she smiled and nodded.

After picking some maroon joggers and a grey shirt Kayla went inside Damon's shower then got getting dressed then finished her outfit with some maroon Jordan's.  "Nice outfit" Damon said while Kayla walked downstairs seeing Damon had a plate of a omelette waiting for her.  "Thank you I'm starving" the girl said sitting down on the ground at the coffee table eating her food ladylike.... After finishing her food Damon took her plate going to the kitchen putting it in the dishwasher then went back to the living room.  "So what do you want to do today?" the blue eyed vampire asked looking at Kayla pouring himself a drink.  "I have to pick up medicine then I was gonna work on some music if you want to come along I don't mind" Kayla said smiling up at the Raven haired vampire.  "Of course" Damon said smirking down at the the girl then they went to her car going to the pharmacy picking up her medicine then they went to pick up some lunch then went back to his house watching tv and movies until it was time for Kayla to go home.  "Is your parents gonna be home tonight?" Damon asked walking her to her car.  "No" Kayla said looking up at the older Salvatore icy blue eyes loving they're color.  "Then stay with me" Damon said leaning down taking her in his arms looking into her brown/grayish eyes then her pink lips, not being able to control himself anymore Damon placed his lips on hers feeling how soft they were.  "I'll stay with you" the girl said while she grabbed some more clothes from her car then they went into the house going into the older Salvatore room making out.  "Wait what does that make us?" Kayla asked looking up at the blue eyed vampire.  "Will you be my girlfriend?" Damon asked looking at the girl in his arms seeing her eyes shining with happiness.  "I'll love to" Kayla said smiling up at him putting her arms around Damon's neck bring him down kissing his lips. And for the first time Damon Salvatore felt like his life was complete.
