Kayla Smith (Damon Salvatore love story)

Time

It's been another week that went by since Kayla spent time with Damon but last time she went over to the Salvatore house Stefan told her that his brother went out of town and for some unknown reason she didn't believe him but she let it go and went to meet her Dad at the grill.

When she got there she saw her father wasn't there yet so she waited at her booth ordering herself a peach mango smoothie to go with her long wait.

As time went by the girl thought her father wasn't gonna show up and just as she was about to leave the grill a man showed up with a smile on his face hugging her.  "Hey sweetie sorry I was late just got back from Paris and I brought you something" Kayla's father said pulling out a bag full of clothes, shoes, jewelry and snacks.  "Thank you Daddy" Kayla stuttered smiling at her father.  "So babygirl what have you been you up to?" Michael asked looking at his happy daughter with a smile on his face.  "Nothing really just practicing music" Kayla stuttered taking a sip of her smoothie.  "How was Paris?" The girl asked looking into her father's eyes with a curious look.  "It was good I learn how to make some amazing new recipes that I want to cook for you and your mother, speaking of your mom I'm guessing she's at work?" Kayla's father asked.  "Yeah she doesn't get off until in the morning" the girl said finishing her drink then she out a twenty on a table to pay for her food then her and her father left getting into their cars  going to the house.

When they got to the house Kayla and her Dad watched movies and  ate food then decided to go to bed tired from the day.

The next morning Kayla woke up working on some music in the living room hearing the door bell ranged so she went to open it and she saw the one person she was looking forward to seeing.  "Hey sunshine you busy?" the Raven haired vampire asked with a smirk causing the girl to blush about to say something when someone interrupted.  "Hello can we help you?" Kayla's dad asked looking at the older Salvatore.  "Nope just wanted to give Kayla something" Damon said handing her some sunflower's.  "Dad I'm going to hang out with Damon" Kayla stuttered then took her guitar to her room then ran back downstairs seeing Damon and her father laughing about something.  "Me and your mom won't be here when you get back, there's food in the fridge, be careful have fun and hopefully me and you Damon can catch the game next week" Michael said looking at the two.  "I'm looking forward to it" the older Salvatore said looking at the girl's father then they went to his car.

When they got to the Salvatore house they went to the kitchen and Damon cooked food for them then went to the basement to sneak a blood bag then went back to the kitchen eating.... After they finished they decided to hang out.  "Can I spend a night I don't want to be home alone?" Kayla asked looking over at the blue eyed Salvatore.  "Sure did you want me to take you home to get some clothes and your car?" Damon asked looking at her seeing the girl nod so he got his keys and they went to the Smith's house to get Kayla's clothes and car.  "This place is nice" the older Salvatore said looking around while Kayla got her things putting them in a bag then they went downstairs out the front door getting into their cars going back to the Salvatore house. 

When they got back Damon showed Kayla the guest room across from his room then they started watching another movie so Kayla got another movie from her stash putting on Tyler Perry's why did I get married which was her favorite movie.

After the movie the two decided to go to bed cause it was late.  When Kaya closed the door she went to the bathroom to shower and take her medicine then she went to bed happy she had wasn't alone for the night.

The next morning Kayla woke up to the smell of food cooking so she got out of bed went to brush her teeth doing her hair in two buns then she got dressed in her black overalls with sunflower's putting on her matching vans then she went downstairs to the kitchen seeing Damon, Stefan and Elena.  "Kaya what are you doing here?" Elena asked looking at her best friend causing the girl to jump.  "I didn't want to be home alone" Kayla stuttered while the Salvatore brother's looked at the girls making Kayla even more nervous.  "Elena your making her nervous how we eat before the food gets cold" Damon spoke up hearing the younger girl heart beating fast.  "I want to know what she's doing here her parents must be worried! Did you bring her here Damon?" Elena asked looking at the older Salvatore.  "I don't have to explain myself or my actions to you Elena and for your information she wanted to come so she wouldn't be alone now drop it!" Damon demanded his icy blue eye's getting darker and his voice now monotone causing Kayla to get scared her greyish green eye's held fear.  "I didn't mean to cause any trouble" Kayla stuttered playing with her fingers.  "It's not your fault it's mine I just want to make sure your not hurt" Elena said looking at her friend.  "I'm ok Lena" the girl stuttered then sat down at the table watching everyone eat then she took small bites of her food use to eating in her room not around people but she just ignore them and imagined herself eating in her room.

After breakfast Kayla went back upstairs to the room she was in and brushed her teeth then she went back downstairs seeing Damon drinking bourbon sitting on the couch.  "Hey I want to show you something" Kayla said grabbing her hoodie and taking her keys out her pockets watching the older Salvatore drink the rest of his bourbon then walked out the house closing the door then walking to her car getting into the passenger seat putting on his seatbelt.  "What did you want to show me?" Damon asked looking at her.  "When I get scared or upset I go to the sunflower field which I call my calming place" Kayla said pulling up into the field both getting out the car walking over the sunflower's. "This is beautiful" Damon said loving how the sun shined and the sunflower's faced the sun.  "I love this place and now you can come here whenever your upset or scared about something" Kayla said while the older Salvatore looked at her with a smile moving her tiny body against his knowing in his mind it was wrong to have this close to him trying to say to himself he didn't care about her but he cared about her but he was was there for Katherine he loved only Katherine and soon he'll be with her again no one else mattered but for some unknown reason Kayla found her way into his heart.

When they left the sunflower field it was lunch time so they went to the grill getting lunch then went back to the Salvatore house cause it was getting late. "I had a good time today" Damon said in his way of saying thank you.  "I'm glad" Kayla stuttered then went to the room she was sleeping in deciding to stay another night.  After her shower Kayla pulled got out her laptop watching Norbit then went to bed   glad she had time to spend with Damon happy she shared her secret place with him.
