 𝄥𝄞────────── 𝄇

It was morning, and the sun brightly smiled at the city streets and valleys from all over Japan.

Everyone was getting ready to start a brand new day. Children prepared for school, adults arranged their things for the day and work.

Haru had woken up a bit earlier than usual, he hadn't been able to sleep much last night due to a spine-chilling nightmare...it had been going on for nearly 3 days already and he had tried ignoring it, but no success.

Haru was running, running as fast as his legs would allow him.

Gun bullets, blood, and curses filled the air.

He dodged all the dangers somehow, and as he made his way out, he saw a bright light shinning towards an exit. Towards safety.

But just as he was getting closer to the exist, he heard a voice yell out his name "Haru!"

He didn't want to stop, but he did. He turned around and saw far away the shadow of a male, with a gun pointing at his head.

He couldn't see the males face but he could feel his fear.

Haru froze, everything's froze...except for the stranger.

"You couldn't save me..."

(End of dream)

The dream had caused him to lose hunger, but Haru forced himself to have at least a glass of milk and some homemade animal cookies before heading over to work.

He was the first to arrive at work. He waited outside the department door for Yukihiro to open and unlock the office room.

Yukihiro, was the boss of the department. He indeed was a good boss, but he could be a bit too carefree from time to time, and would spend most of his time wood carving little figures; not that it was a bad thing though.

Haru sat on a nearby bench, he was trying his best to forget about the dream, so he took out his phone to check the daily news.

'I wonder if we have any good news to start off this day-'

The first thing that popped up was:
Owner of jewelry shop goes missing.

Haru wasn't very surprised but rather upset...but what was he expecting either way?

Under the headline it had written:
Police say that they believe this crime is somehow tied up to the recent crimes and hate acts committed against wealthy people...

Haru turned off his phone. Things like these would only affect his decision. What decision though?

As you see, crimes in Japan have increased, rich people seem to be the main target for most criminal organizations; even though Haru was working as a police detective, he had been considering going back to working as a bodyguard.

Yes, Haru used to work as a bodyguard, before becoming a police detective. He had been hired by some wealthy people, including a few celebrities.

Not that it was a big deal though, Haru saw all his "clients" as humans, and didn't treat them any differently from the rest.

Haru had studied law and learned basic health information; and due to his flexibility and quick reactions, he was very skilled in fighting, which made him an amazing bodyguard.

Haru's bodyguard career started at the age of 22 (roughly) and lasted for about 3 years, until an "awful little incident" came up that destroyed his love towards his job and self-esteem for a very long time. (And still affected him to this day)
