𝄥𝄞────────── 𝄇

A week had passed and Daisuke was still on the hunt for a bodyguard, while using HEUSC to help him find guards on his computer.

In his opinion, this was a complete waste of time, but Daisuke himself, without realizing it, made things much harder.

Daisuke, being your classical clique rich boy with family issues, was a very fussy man. (Plus his lack of trust and his need to never depend on others.)

If something wasn't done or made the exact way he wanted, he would show his disgust through his words or actions...sometimes even both.

But the point is that if he didn't like something, he would gladly let you know.

Suzue knowing that Daisuke was a big fault-finder, would occasionally eavesdrop and spy on him; to assure that he was actually busy searching and browsing for a guard.

She had hoped that he'd be at least a bit stimulated and inquisitive.

But Daisuke showed no interest, all his thoughts were complaints and judgments. His face clearly showed that.

' I'm done, just why, why did I agree to this?? ' Who knew this would be such an irritating task?

Daisuke closed his computer and got up from his seat. He walked over to his window and grabbed a nearby book.

But as he was about to sit down, he looked over at his gramophone that gleamed its large golden horn, sitting there untouched and waiting to play music for anyone who might be spiritless and tired at the moment.

He walked over to the gramophone, and opened the drawer underneath scanning through the different records.

He wanted something that could help him ease his mood. He kept looking until a certain title caught his eye.

Édith Piaf - La Vie En Rose

This song was definitely one of his favorites to listen to. Even though he wasn't very fluent in French, he knew enough French to understand the lyrics.

As a child he remembered seeing his parents dancing, spinning, and, twirling along to the song, going at the speed, or tempo of a heartbeat. (Sometimes he even caught them kissing, which grossed him out.)

He would tell his parents that even though he found dancing fun, he swore that he would never get married; but his parents would only laugh and tell him that one day, he too would dance to this song with his lover.

He never believed that he would, even until this day; but it didn't seem to bother him much.

Daisuke took the record and gently placed it inside the platue, and lowered the bras.

He allowed the disc to start spinning and the music started playing.

The sweet sound of music filled the air, satisfied Daisuke returned to his seat.

...

"Haru, I am glad to have such a hard working boy like you, you give it your all, you're always here on time and you never coward away from any thing, even if it puts your life in danger. But I need you to be honest with me...how much sleep did you get?" Chief Yukihiro asked while he examined Haru's weary eyes and his crooked posture.
