Seeing Double

Unsure how to feel

“Amy are you in there?” Asked Ty knocking on their bedroom door.

“Are you the real Ty?” Asked Amy.

“Yeah, fake me left,” said Ty reassuringly. 

“Okay you can come in,” said Amy.

Ty walked in and sat down on the bed beside her. 

“Are you okay?” Asked Ty, worried. 

Amy grabbed his hand to check for a wedding ring.

“It’s me I swear,” said Ty smiling

“Well in that case no I'm not okay,” Amy admitted. 

“You know I'm not mad at you right?” Asked Ty worriedly.

“Yeah but I still feel awful,” Said Amy, guilty. 

“Why?” Asked Ty.

“I don't even know anymore this whole situation is just weird,” Said Amy.

“You’re telling me,” Said Ty with a sigh

“How are you feeling about all this?” Asked Amy Worried. 

“I’m not sure honestly,” Ty admitted. 

“That makes sense,” said Amy understandingly. 

“Do you want to go back up there or do you want to cuddle for a bit?” Asked Ty.

“Cuddle of course,” said Amy smiling.

“Okay,” said Ty smiling

Half an hour later

Amy and Ty walked into the kitchen.

“Are you feeling better,” Asked Luke.

“A little,” Admitted Amy. 

“Well if it makes you feel any better their DNA is the exact same,” Said Andrea, softly. 

“Wait seriously?” Asked Katie.

“Yep,” said Andrea, smiling.

Then Luke whispered something into Andrea's ear.

“Yep, that's right,” said Andrea.

“Oh that's weird,” said Luke.

“What's weird?” Asked Katie, curious.

“If they DNA tested lyndy, Ty and JJ they would both come out as lyndy's dad,” explains Luke

“Nope, nope no way too weird,” said Amy creeped out.

“That can't be true,” Lou said in disbelief. 

“I promise to you,” said Andrea smiling.

“So you're telling me that there would be literally no difference in their DNA to the point they would both come out as lyndy's father?” Asked Amy.

“There would probably be a very slight difference in the percentage but yes,” said Andrea.

“Well at least Auntie Amy doesn't have to worry about cheating then,” Said Katie

Meanwhile, in JJ's hotel room

JJ was laying on the bed watching TV. He was just trying to forget the events of the day.

“Maybe Mom was right, maybe I shouldn't have come here,” thought JJ.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door.

“Coming!” yelled JJ getting up to answer the door.

Before he could get to it the door swung open and Lily stormed in.

“What the hell are you doing here?” Yelled Lily, angry.

“I told you he needed to know,” JJ Said, defensively. 

“No he didn't!” Argued Lily.

“Maybe not but I want to get to know him,” JJ Argued.

“Oh really!? How is that working out for you?!” Yelled Lily angrily.

“Why are you so against us getting to know each other? Are you ashamed of me?” JJ asked, hurt. 

There what is a long pause

“No no of course not,” Said Lily.

” Get Out Now!” JJ Yelled extremely hurt. 

“JJ please,” begged Lily with tears in her eyes.

“Now!” Yelled JJ.

Lily ran out of the room sobbing. JJ was fuming when Lily left but suddenly he realized something. Lily had left her phone on the table.

“This is my chance,” thought JJ.

He grabbed Lily’s phone off the table, went into her contact and got Ty's number. He then put the number into his phone. Then he took a deep breath and texted his brother. 

“Hey Ty it's JJ I know you're probably in shock right now and I'm pretty sure you're mad at me for making your wife cry I apologize she seems like a great girl. Ty I want to get to know you, so I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go for lunch or something sometime if you don't to I understand.” Texted JJ. 

Meanwhile, back at heartland

The family was eating dinner when ty's phone buzzed. He picks  up his phone and quickly glanced at it before put it back down on the table.

“What was that?” Asked Amy.

“Nothing important,” Said Ty brushing it off. 

Back with JJ

JJ knocked on the door of Lily's hotel room. Lily answers the door with tears in her eyes.

“I just came to give you this then I'll get out of your life,” said JJ 

JJ handing Lily her phone.

“I am not ashamed of you,” Said Lilly.

“Why are you so against Ty and I getting to know each other?” Asked JJ.

“Come-in let's talk,” Said Lilly.

JJ reluctantly walked in.

“I need you to understand a few things,” Said Lilly nervously. 

Lily sighs 

“I wanted to raise you both of you but Brad didn't want to hear it he was convinced we couldn't do it with two sound…on top of that Ty and I already have a strained relationship… I was worried that if this can I-I would either lose him completely or he would make you resent me,” Admitted Lily.

“Why does he hate you or something?” Asked JJ.

“He doesn't of hate me I was just put him through a lot of stuff that he shouldn't have had to go through,” said Lily.

“Whatever you guys have going on is between you. I still want to get to know him I want relationship with my brother,” Said JJ.

“I hope you get one,” said Lily.

“Well I don't know how likely that is,” said JJ with a sigh. 

“How do you know?” Asked Lily, confused.

“Well I kind of got his number out of your phone and texted him he still hasn't responded,” Explained JJ.

“He’ll come around,” said Lily.

“I really hope so,” said JJ, Worriedly.
