Maria's POV

I don't know how to answer his question. If I say yes, I am scared to break his heart and also worried he may give up on us. I mean if there is any "us" on his heart I don't want him to give up. Keeping our eye contact, I try to read what those beautiful eyes are trying to tell me. I see fear in his eyes, but fear of what? Losing me? Getting heartbroken? His eyes look like they are pleading me not to say yes. My eyes are full I was trying to fight the tears back, when Lamar interrupted us.

Lamar: "okay stop this stupidity the girl is here to get ready for her date. We have to be her bitch for today coz she don't have friends.".I know Lamar was trying to help me, seeing my dilemma. He is right, It is not the time to answer this question.

Abel: "she is not going anywhere!" he said fiercely as he walked upstairs leaving me and Lamar in the living room.

Lamar: "wtf what does that even mean?" Lamar blinked at me acting like he is confused.

Abel: "I told you to shut the fuck up Lamar!"

Lamar: "why are you hating on me today dude? I am not the one taking your girl" Lamar shouted towards Abel's bedroom where Abel went.

Abel: "shut up no one takes my girl away from me"

Abel said those words to himself thinking we can't hear him but we heard him. Lamar laughed covering his mouth fight not to make a noise. I smiled looking at him.

Abel took a while to come back to the living room, probably taking a shower and freshening up. Me and Lamar were talking watching TV.

Lamar: "so when is he coming to pick you up?" Lamar asked me all of the sudden making me confused until he blink at me indicating Abel is coming to the living room.

Abel: "you guys don't have any other topic to talk about? I already said she is going nowhere" he said sitting on the couch next to ours looking annoyed.

Maria: "but why"

Abel: "coz I said so!"

Maria: "wtf Abel!"

Abel: "you can't just go out with a man! we need to know if he is good for you" Lamar blast out laughing.

Lamar: "she is not getting married for fuck sake! It is just a date"

Abel: "why does she even date if she is not goanna marry him"

when Abel say those words Lamar was literally rolling on the couch obviously exaggerating.

Lamar: "look who is talking! Bro you are acting weird" he said in the middle of his laughter.

Abel rolled his eyes in annoyance.

Maria: "what is it Abel? Are you still mad at me for not telling you about my bf?"

Abel: "he is not you bf! How can you call him your bf when he never even took you on a date before"

Lamar's laughter getting louder and annoying. When will Lamar act normal?

Maria: "okay tell me, what is it? If you tell me the reason, I will cancel today's date"

Abel stare at me trying to see if I mean what I just said. I nodded in confirmation.

Abel: "coz I am jealous" he said in a very low voice looking down shyly.

Lamar: "aww"

I walked to where Abel is sitting, pick his hand from his lap, sit on his lap and warp his arm around my waist as I warp my hand around this neck.
