Chapter 12 a game for a game

Writer’s POV

Maria called a cab and called Lamar asking him where he was on her way. He told her to come to his place. She give the address to the driver and went straight his place. She knocked at the door and Lamar opened it leading her to his penthouse.

Lamar: “do you want anything to drink?” he asked as he led her to the living room.

Maria: “anything that can make me forget everything. I want to get drunk”

Lamar: “hmm is it your other way of saying we need to talk?” he come with two bottles of cold beer from the small lounge in the corner of the living room.

Lamar: “so what happened?”

Maria: “we make out…”

Lamar: “you what?” he interrupted her shouting and jumping up and down in front of her in shock.

Maria: “it wasn’t actually a make out…” she try to explain shyly.

Lamar: “you guys kissed?” he is too excited 

Maria: “no”

Lamar: “he kissed you but you didn’t kiss him back?”

Maria: “no...No kissing” she said as she cover her face with her hand.

Lamar: “then what do you mean you make out?” he said sitting next to her looking disappointed.

Maria pushed her hoodies a little down and showed the hickeys that already formed on her neck.

Lamar: “omg! how my boy does this so good?” Maria just roll her eyes at him.

Lamar: “and then what happened?”

Maria: “I stopped him”

Lamar: “bitch what? Why did you stop him? I thought you wanted this”

Maria: “what make you all think that I wanted this huh? Coz your friend said the same!”

Lamar: “coz… well obviously…” he said choosing the words to say

Maria: “okay yeah I wanted him but not in just that way I wanted us serious… like Bella” she said the last line in pretty soft and sad voice.

Lamar: “wait, don’t tell me you are feeling jealous.”

Maria: “why not? She got everything I wanted, his heart”

Lamar: “girl, that girl literally don’t mean anything, he is just stupid to see that! He is just too obsessed with her coz he don’t get the attention he gets from other bitches from her. I won’t lie he loved her, they were young and in love 5 years ago. Abel did her wrong the first two years that is a fact, coz well he was a coming star in the industry and everything was new to him. After that he realized it was pointless to be entangled with the party life, coz he was growing and being mature.   But the for some reasons, probably coz abel was a playboy in the first two years of their relationship which he calls hook up,  she break up with him now and then. Abel try to be nice to her and try to understand her to compensate his past mistake, like at this point it is tying him with her. Coz literally Bella was with him when the world don’t know who he was. I really understand him but it isn’t love and this is not how he can pay her back, he is dying inside and I know there is no love in his heart for her right now, but I don’t know how to show him that. Every time she left she erode the love he have for her, now, there is only guilt on his heart. And yeah, he is spitfire that she dumped him every time he wanted to get her attention.”

Maria: “I can see that, that is why he asked me to help him on…”

Lamar: “you know what? Let us play him on his own game or Bella’s game, whoever’s it is, but yeah” he shifted on the coach driving his whole focus to Maria.
