I wake up and found myself the same way I slept. I looked for my morning note in the bed table, but it was not there. Abel used to leave me notes every morning but he didn’t today. I looked for him everywhere in the suite, thinking he didn’t leave a note since he was here, but he wasn’t.

I put on my rode and headed to Lamar’s room next door. I knocked for what seemed forever before he opens the door and storm at me.

Lamar: “wtf you want?”

Maria: “bro, you cool?” he looked totally worn out.

Lamar: “the hangover is killing me damn it!” he let me in and I followed him.

Maria: “you should have known your limit”  I rolled my eyes

Lamar: “it is not the alcohol”

Maria: “then what?” I narrowed my eyes.

He kept quiet not daring to speak.

Maria: “what did you do MF?”

Lamar: “okay! Don’t be mad it is just one line!”

Maria: “Lamar I can’t believe you doing drugs again!”

Lamar: “the party was crazy I just didn’t want to feel odd you know” he said scratching his head.

Maria: “I don’t know lamar! I don't know! Abel is also doing drugs right?”

Lamar: “I guess not” he lied.

I know Lamar too well to be fooled.

Maria: “I knew it! Is that why he didn’t come back to the hotel last night?”

Lamar: “fuck!” I heard him curse in low voice

Maria: “what?”

Lamar: “nothing” he lied again.

Maria: “he is with her?” he looked down.

Maria: “okay, when are we going back to LA?” tear fall down my face.

Lamar: “come on merry, I didn’t say he was with her, I was drunk and high, and I can be sure” he cupped my face and wipe my tears with his thump trying to comfort me.

Maria: “but you saw them together?”

I looked at him with full eyes wishing him to say no. but he nodded.

Maria: “take me out of here Lamar! I want to go to home.”

Lamar comforted me and I convinced him I would go with them in tonight's flight.

I headed to my room, pack my thing and headed back to Lamar’s room. I decided to stay there until the flight, to avoid meeting Abel. I stayed in the room waiting patiently when Lamar went out to finish some business.

Lamar: “ready?”

Maria: “yeah, I was ready hours ago” I stand up from the seat I was sitting on hours ago.

Lamar: “are you sure you want to leave?” He asked looking worried.

I just nodded and headed to the door. When we reach to the elevator I saw Abel walking out of it. I walked past him not daring to look at him. But he hold my hand. I stopped right there still not looking at him.

Abel: “merry…” I cut him off

Maria: “no abel! Don’t say a word, just leave me alone!”

he didn’t say a word but he didn’t let me go either. He was looking at me from the side.

Maria: “please” tears managed to fall down my face  no matter how hard I fight back.
