Look, we know vampires are only beings that exist in fiction. Nowhere else, JUST FICTION. That's what I thought while listening to my friends Daryl and Sonya talk about their vampire obsession. Daryl got into his vampire obsession when he watched the Blade Trilogy. Sonya got into HER vamp obsession when she watched Vampire Diaries. I must partly take the blame for that, I did introduce it to her after all. But she, she just totally spiraled out of control. Daryl's obsession is HIS own fault. He came across Blade while he was rifling through movies on Netflix for us to watch. He decided we watch Blade: Trinity. And so began his descent into a vampire fanboy. I'm so sorry, you're probably asking who I am. Well, my name is Orion Black, 16-year old high-schooler. I attend Thorne High. I know, funny name, but painfully accurate. This school is just a "thorn" (excuse the pun) in everyone's backside. It's the cousin of college, from what I heard from my friend, Jesse Brooks. He once went there, and whooped in absolute GLEE when his college application arrived. He said it was a HUGE relief to finally get away from that penitentiary. My mom sent me there because she thought it would be good for our college applications because it was so prestigious. I mean, it IS rather good-looking on an application but I could've just went somewhere else and put some effort into my grades, I would STILL be able to ride on a scholarship to anywhere in America. "Hey, star? You okay, man?" I hear Daryl say. "What? Oh, yeah. I'm fine. Just thinking about this prison they call a school" I say blankly. "Ahh, yeah. 'S alright. We all space out like that sometimes. Hoping to get away from all this." He said, indicating the mass of the school.  "Anyways, Sonya, are you going to, you know. Ask Jackson out, or something?" She blushed. "Still waiting, remember?" she says exasperated.     You know, Sometimes, we wait for YOU to make the first move." I heard a high-pitched ringing. "Oh, crud. That's the bell. Let's dash , you guys." After 6 hours wasted in class, it was finally over. "Hey, c'mon guys. Let's head home, maybe play a party game or  something?" "Oh, sure, let's scram. I put my foot to my bicycle's pedal  and sped off. After 5 minutes, I saw two people at a bridge. One had white-blonde hair and striking blue eyes with rugged face, while the other had brown hair and hazel eyes. The blonde had a sharp silver pocket knife. "Hey, guys look!" I whispered loudly to them. "What, Orion?" Check this out, there's two dudes fighting. OHHH, I'm definitely going to record this. " I whispered excitedly. "Hey, look at their fighting styles. Looks like they're trying to scratch each other to death." I say curiously. "Hey, what's that thing made of? Looks like pure silver." Daryl says. "That guy probably has a knife."  As we watched them fight, the blondie stabbed the hazel-eyed guy and he-he....dissolved. No blood. Just burned up and dissolved into skeletons while the skeletons turned to embers that flew away with the wind. At that moment, everything seemed quiet. Our hearts stopped at the fact that a guy stabbed a man. Not only that, but he dissolved into ashes. What was this? Some sorta dangerous chemical? Something else? "What the hell? He- he just dissolved.

Whatever it was, I was shocked. But, I mean, there HAD to be a logical way to explain it, right?

I  headed to Daryl's with a sense of curiosity and dread that seemed to press down on me until I got to his house. I wasn't that good at playing, though. My mind was somewhere else. "Hey man, what's wrong?" He said as he put his controller down. "It's that scene at the bridge, isn't it?"

I sighed. "Yeah." I said. "Well, you thinking we should ring up the cops for this?" he asked hesitantly. "Hell yeah, we should. Who wouldn't?" I said confidently. We were heading to the cops in an alleyway when I suddenly lost oxygen and blacked out. When I came to, I was in a dark room, granted it wasn't total can't-see-in-here kind of dark, just a room with all the curtains closed. "Daryl?" I ask. "Shhhhh! They're awake! Shut it, Alex!" someone whispered in the dark. The voice sounded female.  "Hey, younglings." That voice, on the other hand, sounded male. "Ugh, it's so dark in here." We said groggily, having just woken up from a kidnapping. "Damn it, Alex! Turn on the lights." I hear someone say angrily at my supposed captor. He turned them on. I could now see their faces clearly. The guy had brown hair, pale white skin and brown skin with glasses.  The other was a girl my age with brown curly hair, a chiseled nose and dark brown eyes. "Pretty" I heard Daryl say while looking at the girl. "So, what in the world are we doing here, exactly? "Well, you two are one of us." the girl said. "W-wait a second, one of you? You mean, crazed kidnappers? We are not  kidnappers and we sure as heck ain't as crazy as any of you people." I heard Daryl say with a smirk and a chuckle. "Haha, no. Dude, you guys are one of us, you're supernaturals." he says with a chuckle, but I have a feeling he's actually serious for this one. "W-wait, a what?!" I ask. "Supernaturals!" He said it slowly and loudly as if I was a 4-year old. The girl said "Dude, they probably don't even know, man." I'm surprised 'cause she says it like it's true. "Well then, if we're REALLY  supernaturals, SHOW ME, then." I snort. The guy scowls. "Fine. Showtime, then." He took me outside. I gaped. "Woah" Daryl said. We were in a- place. That's one word for it. The place was so intriguing. It was a- village? A camp? I'm also very awestruck but curious, I mean I'm in a village. Or a camp. It looked a settlement. "You like it?" she asks. "Yeah, I do." I really did, and for once, I could see myself actually liking this place. Even if it was just for a day, I wanted to see what this place had to offer. Yet the image of them dissolved man still nagged away at my brain
