( A: N Orion is the pic at the top)
"I gotta head home, Skylar." I say with shock and fear after the alarming incident. "You can't. Orion, we have hunters all around us. They're trying to kill us." "Well, can I bring anyone else into camp?" "Well, we're not really supposed to, but..... you're my friend, Orion. So, okay. I'll bring it up with the board of directors." she says, smiling with hesitancy in her eyes. "Thank you, it-it means a lot. Oh, and by the way my friends call me Star." I say, smiling. "And my friends call me Sky." she says, with bright eyes. "So, how are we gonna get them to camp?" I ask excitedly. She chuckled with a playful smirk. "Same way we got you here, star." "Looking forward to her face when she gets here."
Sonya's POV
I've looked everywhere. He isn't at school, not at his house, not at Jesse's house, I don't know where he is. Daryl's also gone missing. Couldn't I think of anymore places? The answer: NO. Because I felt a cloth go to my nostrils and I blacked out. When I awoke, I found myself in a dark room. "So you convinced the board, huh?" I heard a familiar voice say. "How'd you do it? Board of directors guys are usually ice-cold." I heard another familiar voice say. "The directors aren't ice-cold, just stone-cold." I heard a familiar chuckle. But the other voice was female. And...unfamiliar? Am I having a nightmare? Am I hallucinating? Deciding to test my luck, I called out "O-Orion? Daryl?" "Ah, finally. She's awake." I heard Orion say. "Then turn on the lights, man. She doesn't have cat's eyes, she can't see well in the dark" A bright, blinding light fills my eyes and I squint. As my vision cleared, I saw Daryl and Orion leaning back against the wall. I saw another unfamiliar girl with brunette hair and gray eyes. She was tall, about 2 inches shorter than 6"5, which was Orion's height. "Nice of you join the party, Sonya." "O-Orion? What am I doing here? A-am I being kidnapped?" I say hesitantly. "Well, yeah. Star here asked me to kidnap you." the unfamiliar girl says. "What the hell, Orion?! You kidnapped me?! Did you kidnap Daryl too?!"I say angrily, surprised and infuriated that Orion would kidnap us. "Well no. He did ask me to kidnap you, but I take credit for his and that guy's kidnapping." the unfamiliar girl says. "Who the hell are you?! Why am I here?! What did you do to them?!" I say loudly and furiously. "Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Skylar. Skylar Frost. And I'm head counselor of the Sanctuary." she says coolly. "Well, since you're the head counselor, give me some answers! Where am ?! What is this place? A mafia hideout?!" I scream, still enraged but with a spark of curiosity beginning to form. She laughs. "This isn't a mafia hideout, it's a place for all supernaturals. I'm thinking you're not one, but we're gonna find out tonight. When we Mark you, uhhhh.... what's your name?" she says, smirking slightly. "Why should I-" I was cut off, by Orion, saying that I should just play along with it. "Ugh, fine. My name's Sonya. Sonya Cage." I say. Hello, Sonya Cage. Welcome to the Sanctuary. Home of the supernaturals.
Orion's POV
"Don't tell her about the vampires. She's obsessed with them." I said jokingly. "Okay." she giggled "Come on, Starboy." Let's go show your friend Sonya the Sanctuary. I smiled and followed her. I watched the sun set on the hill. I felt a multitude of emotions go through me that I should've felt on my first day here, but was cloaked by the tour and the shock of being in an unfamiliar landscape, territory that was novel to me. I felt curiosity and contentment flood my veins, as if I always knew I belonged here, as if this should be familiar but somehow, not. As if a memory in the back of your head. A forgotten place. A forsaken land. "Hey, Star. Let's go." "Where?" I say with an inquisitive smirk. "Campfire, she says as-a-matter-of-factly. "That's where we get marked. "Marked? What, we get tattooed?" I say surprise creeping on every inch of my face. "Ha! No, idiot. We get marked as in told which branch of supernaturals we belong to by a symbol above our heads." she says playfully. "Ahhh, so like Percy Jackson's being claimed." I say as a reference to my favorite book. She laughed. "Okay, demigod. Let's go." I went to the campfire, with anticipation in my every step. "Welcome to the campfire, newbies. This is where we get Marked." she says with a knowing smirk. "Can someone PLEASE tell me what claiming is?!" Sonya bursts out, clearly annoyed. A guy slit his wrists and his blood dropped onto a basin full of shimmering water. The blood spread out in the water and turned it thick, dark, and red. The blood-water rose up and formed a symbol on top of the person's head. "LYCAN!" I heard a deep, gravelly, ancient voice say. "That is claiming." Sky says, smirking at Sonya's shocked face. "What, Sonya? Too scary for ya?" she sneered teasingly. Sonya scowled. "No, it's just shocking. Shut up, Frost" "Hey, star. Looks like your girlfriend is a little bit annoyed." she said, grinning. I laughed and smiled at her. "No, Sky. She's not my girlfriend. Come on, let's head to the campfire. Can't wait to get marked." I smiled and sighed in anticipation and nervousness. It was a thought ever since I heard of the campfire, but has been put away at the back of my head, I haven't given it much thought 'till now. What'll happen at the campfire? Will I be marked weak? Will I even fit into the camp? Those thoughts rush around my head like two vampires chasing each other through a chamber.... woah. Where did I get THAT idea? Pushing the thought away, I headed to the campfire. I saw the same basin full of that curious and peculiar water. It shimmered like a mirage. Something that was so real, yet not. When my name was called, I walked in a trance, just walking towards the basin. Before I knew it, my wrists were slit and a drop of blood trickled into the shimmering water. It spread, turning the water dark-red. It rose in a wave and plummeted very close to my face. 'Till it stopped at the top of my head. It formed a symbol. A strange symbol formed above my head. It looked menacing and instilled a sense of foreboding in me. I heard gasps that merged into one, sounding almost like a sound between a wheeze and a scream. A man with deathly-pale skin and hazel-blonde hair and red eyes announced: "Orion Black! Dhampir! Born of a human and a vampire. A hybrid! We welcome you to the Sanctuary. What was I? I don't know. All I can say is.. it's been one hell of a reunion.
