It had been two weeks since Louis and I fought . Luckily I had spent those days on a trip with my family, which distracted me from the thousands of calls and messages that Louis had left me on my mobile.
The same day we returned to our city I didn't intend to look at my phone either, I didn't want to remember everything again, I simply left it on the table next to my bed and left my house for a short walk, I needed to breathe fresh air and avoid everything that was happening around me.
Halfway there, when I was walking up a hill that I often go to, someone took my arm, I turned around hoping it was someone else and not the person I was thinking about but unfortunately, my predictions came true. There he was, in front of me, the boy who had left my voicemail completely full. Louis.

-  _______ can we talk? - I took his hand away from my arm to continue walking, no word was pronounced, I simply didn't want to talk - Please ... I owe you an explanation.

I stopped walking, it was true that last time I hardly let him explain himself and there were many questions in my head that deserved an answer.
I turned to look at him and nodded. We headed towards a bench near the path in complete silence, neither of us wanted to say anything. Once we were seated, he was the one who began to speak.

- I want to tell you ... my secret - he said looking at the ground, his hands were moving nervously. I wanted to put my hand on them, make him feel comfortable, but I knew it wasn't the right thing to do, I needed an explanation, part of me was still broken.
After a few seconds he continued talking.
- A few months ago... my father was fired from his job, he has been looking for another one but it is really hard and we are not at the best moment. My mother has to work longer and we don't have time to see her and everything is really weird. - My gaze quickly settled on him -We have received help from some coworkers including Alice's father, she must have found out that way. I didn't want to tell you because I was ashamed and I don't like talking about things like that with anyone.

I was paralyzed, I couldn't believe it, I have been so cruel to him. Louis was having a hard time and I hadn't even stopped to think about him, I have been so selfish. My gaze drifted to him, he looked up and our eyes met, a tear ran down my cheek.

- I'm so sorry. - I said as I looked to the ground. I didn't know what to say, I was ashamed. - I'm an idiot, you've been trying to fix our relationship for weeks even with all your family problems and I was on the beach ignoring you.

I noticed how his arm went through my shoulders and then pushed me towards his body, he hugged me and put his head on mine.

- I'm also an idiot - he said moving his head and looking into my eyes - and I'm more than sorry, I should have trusted you, besides, I was stupid kissing Alice.

- That's true - I said releasing a small laugh which caused a smile on him. I turned to look at him better, our faces were very close.

- I can't lose you now ____, less with everything I'm going through, I need you, you are the most important thing in my life. - he said looking straight into my eyes, my heart raced.

-Louis you won't lose me, you never will - I moved closer to him- I love you.

I looked down and placed a kiss on his lips that was soon returned.

- Me too - he said in the middle of the kiss smiling. Thousands of butterflies fluttered in my stomach, my nightmare of losing louis soon faded away and finally, everything  returned to normal.
