And why is that? - He said frowning without understanding anything.

- Because you are the typical handsome boy who thinks that because of his pretty face he can flirt with all the girls he wants - I said crossing my arms.

-Wow, I don't know whether to take that badly or as a compliment - he said showing a small smile which quickly disappeared when I shot him one of my murderous looks. - And since when do you think I'm like that?

"Since high school, but surely you've always been like that," I said, turning my gaze to the ground with a frown.

- What a bad reputation I got in high school - He said covering his face. After a pause in which he became serious again, he continued - I was a stupid kid.

Silence covered the elevator, neither of us wanted to say anything.

"I let the only girl I liked go just because I was busy fooling around with others who didn't even interest me." He looked at the ceiling.

That really took me by surprise, I never thought that he might have liked someone.At that moment I felt bad, it was true that he had tried to be nice to me and he had never done anything bad to me, I felt guilty for hating him without having a big reason.

I walked down that little elevator and sat next to him. I don't know why but I wanted to be honest with him.

- I was really stupid too - I said laughing and avoiding his gaze that was now resting on me - I convinced myself that the boy I liked was an idiot who only wanted to fool around with girls.

I could see from the corner of my eye how Louis was surprised at that comment, I didn't know if that was good or bad but I honestly didn't care, I just needed to say it once and for all.

- Well, I liked a girl who now hates me - he said with a laugh - beat that.

My eyes widened, wait what??!! Louis liked me and I never realized it ????? !!! This could be a dream, or a hidden camera prank! but in this old elevator it is impossible to place cameras, the wall would fall first.

I was still surprised by what Louis just said, I didn't know what to answer, in my stomach thousands of butterflies fluttered. A new silence covered the elevator for what it seemed like hours. Once I came back from my trance, I decided to play along.

- I have been locked in an elevator with the boy that I have hated since high school - I said turning my head and meeting his gaze- YOU should beat that.

He laughed again and pretended to be thoughtful.

- I just discovered that Im still in love with the same girl.

After that statement we both stayed in silence looking at each other, his sight that was resting on my eyes fell to my lips as well as mine towards his, inevitably the space between them little by little was reduced, I was about to kiss Louis, the boy who had had me crazy over years. Our lips were about to brush when there was a noise that separated us instantly, the elevator doors opened and Fred, the school mechanic, appeared looking victorious.

- Finally! Are you okay guys?
