Chapter 7

*My Azur Lane Base

*Evan/My POV

After visiting Icarus in the medical bay, it was time for dinner. I went down to the cafeteria with Enterprise and Gascogne.

"So do you want to eat together Evan?" Enterprise asked me as we went down to the cafeteria.

"Umm. Sure why not." I replied.

"How about Gascogne?" Enterprise asked and both of us turned to face the Richelieu Class shipgirl.

"Hey Gascogne. Do you want to eat with us?" I asked.

"...." Gascogne just looked at us.

"Umm. Gascogne?" Enterprise tried to snap Gascogne out of her trance.

"Analysis complete. Order 'eat with us' has no strategic significance." Gascogne replied.

"Come on. Be more social Gascogne." Enterprise tried to encourage Gascogne as what Gascogne said just now is clearly a no.

"Being with us improves your social skills Gascogne." I said.

"'Improve social skills' Analysis of Strategic Significance of order deemed impossible." Gascogne refused.

"Looks like we have a stubborn one here." Enterprise frowned.

"Hmm. If you don't want to eat with me and Enterprise, then I won't force you. Just promise me that you eat up." I said before leaving with Enterprise.

*Timeskip

"Hey you two! Over here!" A voice called out to us as Enterprise and I walked into the cafeteria. Both of us turned to see Vauquelin waving at us. She's sitting with Forbin, Illustrious and for some reason, Richelieu and Jean Bart as well.

"Looks like the rest of the squad is here Evan." Enterprise informed me.

"Pfft." Meanwhile, I was trying not to laugh at Vauquelin's 'incomplete' Ahoge strand of hair.

"Evan. Are you alright?" Enteprise asked me as she noted at my odd expression.

"Huh. Oh. I'm alright. Let's join the rest of the squad." I suggested.

30 Minutes have passed since Enterprise and I sat down, meanwhile Valiant and Hermione were eating together in their nurse outfits as usual.

"Attendant. How I wish I can join your squad." Valiant stared at me as she watched me interact with my squad, Richelieu and Bearn. 

"Just walk up to him and ask. I'm sure he'll be glad to accept you." Hermione overheard Valiant and suggested.

"What? Accept me for what?" Valiant tried to act like she didn't say that she really wanted to join my squad.

"Accept you into his squad since you said that you really wanted to join." Hermione replied.

"I-I didn't say that. Heh." Valiant nervously laughed as she denied saying something like that.

"Okay then. Just a little advice, if you want to join the Commander's squad, just walk up to him and ask." Hermione replied.

"Why would I want to join my attendant's squad?" Valiant asked as she once again tried to act like she's not interested in joining my squad.

"Didn't you say something like that just now?" Hermione asked.

"No. I didn't hehe." Valiant replied.

"Okay then." Hermione reluctantly ended the conversation.

"I almost got busted." Valiant thought before turning her head back to watch me interactwith Enterprise, Illustrious, Forbin, Vauquelin, Richelieu and Bearn.

"Cheers!" I said as I started drinking champagne with Enterprise, Illustrious, Forbin, Vauquelin, Richelieu and Bearn doing the same soon after.

"Will the other members of my attendant's squad even accept me?" Valiant asked herself in her thoughts as she watched me drink champagne. "I could just go up there and ask but the other members of my attendant's squad is with him now. Not to mention, Richelieu as well. What if I mess up and embarrass myself in front of the others?" Valiant frowned as she thought about the possibility of embarrassing herself in front of my squad and Richelieu.

"And then, the Commander and Princess Elincia started dating each other." Vauquelin can be heard saying this.

"Oi!" I responded.

"Why so defensive if that is true Com-man-der?" Vauquelin asked me.

"I'm not being defensive. It's just, that's not true." I sighed and replied.

"Just admit it Commander." Vauquelin pressured me further as Enterprise, Illustrious, Forbin, Richelieu and Bearn giggled at the two of us. This scene made Valiant smile a little.

"At least my attendant is happy with his squad now." Valiant thought.

Meanwhile, a certain red dress wearing yandere fox shipgirl is watching me and taking names down on her notebook.

"What is the name of that orange haired girl again? Is it Richelieu? No matter. She must disappear for getting too close to Shikikan-Sama." Akagi said to herself as she jotted names down in her 'hit list' notebook.
