☠︎︎Hunter's POV☠︎︎

I stood anxiously by the entrance, my mind racing with a mix of emotions as I awaited the opening of the door. When it finally swung open, revealing Zack and my Little Vixen, I could see the shock and fear in her wide eyes.

I realized that I had forgotten to clean up the gruesome scene before she arrived - the room was filled with the lifeless bodies of my helpers, and I myself was covered in blood.

"Hunter, did you kill every helper you had?" Zack asked, breaking the tense silence.

I didn't respond. Instead, I walked closer to Amanda, causing her to instinctively hold onto Zack's arm for support.

I reached out and grabbed her hand, forcefully pulling her along as I began to ascend the stairs.

"Hunter-" Zack started, attempting to intervene.

"Don't fucking interfere!" I said.

Zack fell silent, realizing the futility of arguing with me. I continued dragging Amanda up the stairs, her pleas for me to stop growing more desperate.

"Hunter, stop! You're hurting me!" Amanda pleaded, hitting my hand in a futile attempt to make me release my grip.

I didn't stop. I just kept going, my mind clouded with a mixture of rage, confusion, and a burning desire to keep her close.

"Hunter!" she cried out, her voice filled with fear.

Finally, I reached her room and pushed her onto the bed. She quickly sat up at the edge, her body tense and ready to flee. My hand hovered in the air, but a sudden realization jolted through me.

What was I about to do?

Did I seriously want to slap her?

She stared at me with wide eyes, fear etched across her face. Slowly, I clenched my hand into a fist and turned away from her.

I ran a hand through my hair, feeling the pounding headache and the discomfort of the bandage wrapped around my head. Taking a deep breath, I turned to look at Amanda.

She sat on the edge of the bed, playing nervously with her hands. The fear in her eyes was evident, and guilt washed over me for the way I had treated her.

"Amanda, what the fuck was that stunt you pulled? Do you have any idea how dangerous it is? There are wild animals in the woods, you know. What the hell did you even gain from this? Did you seriously think you could run away from me?" I raged, my frustration and anger pouring out.

She flinched at my outburst, and I immediately felt a pang of guilt and concern.

"Calm down, Hunter. Don't let your anger control you," a voice inside me reasoned.

But the sight of her, the frustration building up inside me, made it difficult to rein in my emotions.

"You went out at night, walked alone for who knows how long, and managed to get yourself hurt. Then you went into the city and filed a complaint with the police, you didn't even regard your own safety. All for what? Do you hate me that much? Does looking at me disgust you that much?" I asked, my fists clenched tightly.
