Dan's P.O.V
Everything went as a blur, I wished I could've spent more time with each person though. There were so many cool people with amazing personalities that I only spent several seconds with each person. One girl began to cry in front of me. It's was so flattering I nearly cried with her.
Me and Phil had already said we were going to meet everybody and stay as long as we could because:
1) It's the least we could do to pay them back for watching our videos
2) It makes me so happy to see them smiling
Yeah, it sounds cheesy and shit but it's the truth.
I glanced up to see a young girl who was with her mum.
"Hello!" Phil said warmly, hugging her. She didn't stop grinning as I hugged her too. We got a picture with her. I glanced up to see only a few people left in the meet and greet. That was when I saw the long dark hair and the bright, perfect smile of the girl we had met earlier. She was dying laughing at something with her sister. I fought back a smile. Her laugh was hilarious.
And no, I haven't forgotten her name in case you thought I had. Grace and her sister Emily were right at the back of the queue, which, like I said before, only had a few people left. And by a few I meant about 12 people (not including Grace and Emily).
I quickly got out my phone, remembering Louise wanted to see the two sisters again. I texted her.
Dan: Those two girls we met earlier, Grace and Emily, are about to come up in our meet and greet if you still wanna meet them? They're the last ones btw
She answered straight away.
Louise: Oh good! I'll be right over!x
I looked up and saw some of the girls come up. For a second I looked past them and made eye contact with Grace. I'm naturally quite an awkward person, especially around new people but I felt this weird confidence and naturalness around this girl, like I'd known her for ages, which was absolutely crazy as I had just met her, but there the feeling was.
I smiled at her, she grinned back. Then I turned my attention back to the girl who was about to hug me. I took photos with the rest of the girls and gave them hugs. I glanced up to see there were only two girls left in the queue.
"Hello!" Phil said as Emily ran into him, hugging him.
Grace followed kind of awkwardly, but still smiling.
"Well, fancy seeing you here." Grace said, relaxing a bit and giggling.
"Hi again." I said.
"Thanks so much for the Tumblr follow by the way. Me and Em freaked out a bit."
Before I could answer, Emily came and hugged me. "Your Emily then, sorry I didn't really get a chance to speak to you last time." I apologised.
"That's fine! Grace enjoyed speaking to you, anyway. Didn't you Grace?" Emily turned around, giving her a devilish look that only sisters gave each other.
I laughed as Grace blinked slowly from exasperation and sighed, sarcastically saying, "Yes, Emily."
"What have I missed?" Phil said.
"Oh yeah, sorry Phil!" Dan laughed, "This is Grace and Emily, me and Louise met them when when we went for a walk around the building."
"Oh right! Hello then Grace and Emily." Said Phil.
"Hi, I love your blog." Grace said to Phil. They hugged.
"You guys can call me Em if you want to just fyi." She said. "Can I get a picture?"
"Of course you can." I said.
Em got her phone out her pocket, pressing the home button to turn it on. She frowned and kept trying to to turn it on. She looked up, "Oh, shit."
"What?" Grace asked.
"My phones out of battery," she sighed running a hand through her hair, then she said more quietly, "This is so embarrassing."
I grabbed my phone from my pocket, "We could take a picture on my phone and I'll tweet it to you, if one of you have got Twitter?"
Very smooth, Dan.
Emily looked surprised and grateful, "That would be amazing, thank you so much. Grace has Twitter." She smirked at Grace quickly.
Grace ignored her, "Should I take the picture then or...?"
"No, your getting in the picture too, you idiot." Said Em, dragging her over.
I handed my phone to Phil and we all huddled together. I absentmindedly placed my hand on Grace's lower back, pulling her in for the photo. We took a few selfies.
Grace gave me her Twitter while Em kept glancing between us and giggling silently. Phil seemed really comfortable around them and was really chatty and open with them which was nice. In mid conversation I heard Louise's familiar voice. Then she appeared from behind the curtain, "Hello." She said, smiling.
"Hey." I said.
I heard a few screams from the other queues and I saw people waving to Louise.
"I can only literally stay for 5 minutes, I've got an interview with HollyWire with Zoe really soon. But I really wanted to see you two again!" She gestured at Em and Grace, "Especially you, young lady, we barely spoke!" She said to Grace. Grace laughed and they started chatting and I was about to join in when I realised something.
I would never see Grace again.
I surprised myself when that thought came into my head. I felt a surge of dread run through me.
But you've only just met her, Dan! My logical side reasoned.
I have to know her. I want to know her.
This was absolutely crazy but the idea sounded so right.
She's just a fan.
But she's not though, is she?
My heart and my head sai-
"Dan?" I heard a voice and I saw Phil looking at me, concerned. I snapped out of my thoughts.
I watched Grace write her Twitter on a piece of paper and hand it to Louise. "I've got to go, I'll DM you!" She said to Grace, "We're going to be great friends, trust me! Bye Emily! Bye Phil, and the other one." She winked at me.
She left and I saw Grace was beaming. Her blue eyes filled with excitement and possibilities.
I had to know her.Graces P.O.V
"I've got to go, I'll DM you!" Said Louise, "We're going to be great friends, trust me!" I grinned. Me and Louise had only been talking for about 5 minutes and we got on so well. She said her goodbyes to everyone and left.
"We kinda need to go quite soon if you still want to go to Jack Wills, Em." I said quite sadly. I had promised her that I would take her to Jack Wills and buy her loads of clothes today because mum had given me a load of money but I didn't really want it.
"Oh yeah, I still want to go." she said, torn between being excited and sad.
"We should head back to the apartment at some point anyway, we've done our interviews and shows and stuff anyway." Dan said to Phil, obviously a bit upset.
"It's been soooo amazing to meet you guys!" Em hugged Phil tightly, then moved onto Dan, "I love you guys so much!"
Dan smiled at her, "Thank you."
"I'm gonna force Grace to watch all of both of your videos, and the gaming channel videos, like seven times each." she said, letting go of Dan.
He laughed.
"I'm sure I'll never be as much of a stalker as you, Em." I grinned.
She ignored my comment, as she went on about how she's going to make me watch all the radio shows and their live shows.
"Oh God, my live shows are just waffle, you don't have to watch them." Dan laughed again and fixed his hair.
I went and gave Phil a hug, "It was so nice to meet you."
I could hear Em telling Dan that I didn't have a choice if I wanted to watch his live shows or not.
"You too, I hope you and Louise keep in touch." Phil said sweetly.
"Yeah, me too." I smiled warmly.
I turned to Dan, "You can stalk my Tumblr and Twitter as much as you like now, it's only fair since I'm apparently watching all your videos."
"Don't worry I will."
"And remember to Tweet me the pictures for Em."
"I will." He pulled me in for a hug which I happily welcomed. Who wouldn't hug back? Honestly.
I had to stand on my tiptoes a little to hug him properly as I was quite short at 5'5''.
A tiny squeal came from Em's direction. Just as I was pulling away and was about to leave, completely to my surprise, Dan gently caught my wrist and whispered in my ear, "I think your sister ships us."
Butterflies ripped through my stomach as he pulled away and winked. I nodded, flashing him a grin.
"Bye, Dan." I slowly walked with Em though the only half crowded convention centre and out into the almost blinding sunlight.
And that was it, or so I thought.
Little did I know there was so much more to come.
