Chapter 7: Score!

4:50pm

Stuart's POV:

"Awawawawawa!" A death soundtrack came from the game I was playing, I died.

"How are you so good at this?!" I looked at Del, Del looked back at me and laughed, he said "It's a secret!" I crossed my arms and moved to a different game. Noodle was playing a car game while Russel was playing on a rhythm game. 

I saw a game that took my attention, I've never seen it before and no one's playing it. I walked over to the new game and it was a powerpuff girls fighting game! I've heard about that show and it's pretty cool, Craig McCracken was one of the teachers here in our school but transferred to Walt Disney's Institute, not sure why though, but he's the creator of the show. I took my token bag out of my pocket and inserted one token into the machine, read the tutorial, and started playing.

I've been playing the game for 10 minutes, someone placed a token on the control panel's surface, I tried to stop my curiosity but I lost by 'Him' in the game, he's the devil in the series.

I sighed and looked at the stranger who was gonna play the game. It was the same person who bumped into me at school! He's wearing the same clothes from the last time I saw him, he wasn't wearing a scarf though. "Can I play?" He asked, his voice was raspy and a bit unnerving, had seconds shivers down my spine. I stepped sideways and let him play, someone like him doesn't look like he would play a girly game like this, frankly, so do I.

Murdoc's POV:

It's been 9 minutes and this tall idiot has been watching me play since I started, I do like a bit of attention, back on stoke, i used to be the centre of attention when it comes to fighting games, always beating up twerps around to challenge me, on-game. Although I stopped playing there when my old childhood bully saw me.. Started playing against me, he was challenging me like the others. we did a bet and whoever loses gets the beating and 4 dollars. Tony Chopper, he was a lot bigger than the last time I saw him.

I don't really get why we always strangle each other's throats every time we meet, but for some reason that jack-arse find it amusing. I hated it, lost the game, beaten up and left 4 dollars taken out of my brother's wallet. "Oh no!" I perked up, Buttercup's voice from the game blurted out, I died. "Blugh, Oh well." I shrugged. "That's ok, you did a good job!" I heard from the back, right, the bloke. 

I looked back at him "You can play again if you want." I said to him while pointing at the machine. He didn't reply back but instead just lifted his hand, then he replied "I'm Stuart Pot." "..." Does he know a thing or two about 'stranger danger'?

I raised an eyebrow and just looked at him confused. "Look I-I know it's a tad random, but I figured that you'd be one of the new students in my section and I might as well introduce myself first before you get to know everyone else." he said. "Murdoc." I replied, I didnt shake his hand like he was implying to. What a strange lad.

Stuart's POV: 

I was standing there like an idiot. "Murdoc" I repeated what he said, I moved my hand and pretend I was dusting myself, why did i do that?  "Nice to meet you." "..." It was getting a little awkward and boy was I relieved to hear Russel's voice.

"Yo Stu! Noodle's mom called and want her home, mind if I borrow some money?"

"Oh- Sure thing." I reached to my pocket and gave Russel 3 dollars. "Why do you need money?" I asked.
  
"Her mom can't pick her up so 'might as well use the cab." He replied. "You gonna stay? If so Del's counting tickets, I gave him mine, and Noodle's. You done?" 

"Hm, I'll stay." I smiled, "Actually thinking about getting the nerf guns. After I play this sick arcade game." I pointed at a different fighting game by mistake, I was supposed to point at the PPG game but oh well.

Russel patted my shoulder and went looking for noodle, I looked back to Murdoc's position and he was gone. I sighed in relief, not like I want him gone but you know, no one likes awkward moments. I went back playing the game again, really want to finish Him ( from the game) off.

"Mark my words! I'll be back!" Ive been playing for almost an hour! My coin bag is almost empty, I won the game! Some people have left already, it's getting a bit dark out. Him was so crazy powerful here! I still can't explain why he's so weak in the series but that's alright. I got pretty tired playing so I decided to give the rest of my tokens to Del. I went looking for Del and a text went through my phone, it's from Del.

That makes sense, but I cant't really bring these tokens home, they dont allow that here. So I went looking for Murdoc, he might be interested to keep my tokens, and basically the only person I kinda know around here. 

As I walked around, I saw him talking to an employee, he was holding an envelope  and was standing up straight, I stared at him for a few seconds. He looks pretty handsome- I mean, uh, no- STU YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND- STO P, I looked down from the weird thoughts, I'm not gay right? Right.... As I asked that to myself, I bumped into him- again.

"Score!" Someone said in the backdround.
