June 25, 2002... Everyone is at the Myers' house, celebrating the wedding of Diego and Ruby. The newlyweds were currently on their way to D.C. for their honeymoon and the rest of the family was just hanging out.

Sofia, Diego, and Will all returned home safely from their deployment. Sofia was leaving again in five days but she tried not to think about that. She was going to marry Chris a week and a half after she got home from the last deployment of her contract. In the two months, Sofia had been home they were able to plan out the entire wedding. Diego and Ruby's wedding was planned before and while he deployed. Sofia already had her dress and wedding ring, she's going to wear the mantilla, which is a wedding veil in the Corlãrian culture that gets passed down from bride to bride, generation to generation. It has been used five generations before she and her sisters even wore it for their wedding. It is a wedding crown that gets passed down from bride to bride, generation to generation. It's been in her family for five generations and her sister wore it as well as her bio-mother and her Nonna.
"You okay?" Chris asked, rubbing his thumb over his fiance's knuckled.
"Yeah, I just can't believe one of us got married" she smiled at him, "I mean, I know that my bio-sisters are married but and already have kids, but they're a lot older than me. This just hits differently. Diego is only like three years older than me."
"Yeah it is pretty crazy," He agreed, nodding his head, "we grew up" he smiled softly, "and just think, this time in four months, we'll get married."
"Someday" she smiled,
"Someday." He smiled back, "which is October 15, 2002," He said, kissing the wedding ring on her finger.

She smiled at him and the thought, "October 15th, 2002" she murmured, "you promise? You're not gonna run away?" She asked
"I'm not going anywhere," He said looking at her, his voice becoming low and husky, "I found my girl. Besides, I scored a point when you said yes, I'm not getting rid of it"
