Chris then heard a loud boom outside and tires screeching. He furrowed his brows and got up and looked out the window and listened intensely, he swears he heard something that sounds like...crying?
"What the hell?" He murmured, he put on his slippers and robe, he quietly sneaked out of the house and outside, he listened over the now blizzarding snow and could hear the crying come by the street, he walked down the driveway and the crying got louder, he furrowed his brows and stood next to the garbage cans where it sound like the crying was coming from.
Chris opened the garbage can and came face to face with a crying garbage bag.
He jumped when he saw the crying garbage bag move, he quickly yet cautiously open the bag and found a scream-crying baby loosely swaddled in a crochet sunflower blanket.
"Oh my god!" Chris exclaimed.
He threw back the lid causing another loud 'boom' as the lid hit the back of the can. He picked up the baby still in the garbage bag, and cradled her close to his chest.
"Chris? What is going on!?" Called Lisa, Chris turned to face his mother with a scared and shocked expression, Lisa gasped, her hands covering her mouth, "is that a baby!?" Chris nodded his head, "well get them inside before they freeze to death!" Chris nodded again and ran back into the house. Lisa shut the door and locked it. She then began to turn on lights as she walked through the main level of the house. "Give them here" Lisa said as she stretched out her arms, taking the baby, "Chris, go turn on the fire and call the police" Lisa said sitting by the fireplace and taking the baby out of the garbage bag and swaddling the baby tighter. She looked inside the bag and saw a matching hat and toy, "oh," Lisa cooed, looking at the crocheted work for this abandoned baby.
