Chapter 3

Moth'wing stood on the leader'rock now being known as Moth'star she looked down at her kits her eyes soft against them, "dock'kit, honey'kit, dandelion'kit please step forward" she mewed, her three kits stepped forwards their pelts gleaming against the snow, "dock'kit you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as dock'paw. Your mentor will be Sorrel'tail" Dock'paw turned his head to meet the gaze of his new mentor who walked forward pressing her nosed against his with a smile and the two backed up sitting down, "Honey'kit you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. from this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Honey'paw. Your mentor will be Pine'fur" Pine'fur stood her brown tabby fur shining against the white snow as she padded forward touching noses with honey'paw the two of them backing up leaving dandelion'kit her golden tabby body glowing against the sun and snow, "and finally Dandelion'kit, you have reached the age of six moons, from this day on, until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Dandelion'paw, your mentor will be  Beech'fur" Dandelion'paw's eyes widened as she turned her head to see the brown tom moving her way, a smile appeared on her muzzle as she touched noses with her mentor "May star clan watch theses apprentices and there mentors" the six cats nodded as the cats began cheering, "dandleion'paw, Dock'paw, Honey'paw!" It warmed moth'star's heart as she flicked her tail "clan meeting dismissed" the clan parted as moth'star hopped down from the leader rock and headed over to the nursery, to check on Ice'wing "oh hello, Moth'star" she mewed, her white fur hitting the frost tipped moss, her kits jumping around, Beetle'kit jumped up and landed on moth'stars tail, "sorry moth'star!" beetle'kit mewed removing his paws, moth'star laughed as she licked the kits head, "it's fine beetle'kit so you excited to become a apprentice it will be in new leaf" she purred, beetle'kit whined as he mewed "that's to long!" he mewed, "yeah can we be apprentices now!" whined grass'kit, prickle'kit laded against ice'wing his tiny body twitching, "is she okay?" moth'star whispered, Ice'wing looked at moth'star then to prickle'kit, Ice'wing nodded her tail curling around the kit as petal'kit leaped up and laid on her mother's body, grass'kit and beetle'kit ran over to their mom laying down next to her and prickle'kit. Moth'star smiled as she stood up and licked the queens head "well if you ever need any help me and leaf'pool are here" she mewed, Ice'wing nodded her white body rising and falling, moth'star stood up and walked out of the nursery the snow under her paws crunching, leaf'pool was sitting by the medicine den sorting herbs "so how are you my deputy?" asked moth'star her eyes shining on her mate, leaf'pool turned her head to moth'star and smiled, "i'm doing great moth'star how are you doing were gonna have to get a medicine cat so we dont catch white or green cough this leaf-bare" she mewed, moth'star nodded agreeing as she closed her eyes to think, "i'll try and get a med cat from shadow clan alright?" moth'star mewed her fur puffing up, leaf'pool nodded as her fur shined against the white pure snow, "I know your struggling with this" moth'star mewed looking at leaf'pool "they were only kits what felt like a moon ago and now look at them there apprentices they grow up to fast" leaf'pool said as tears flooded her vision, moth'star padded over to leaf'pool wrapping her tail around her pressing her nose against her forehead "hey, its okay they might grow up quickly but they will always be our kits" she mewed licking away the tears that dripped down her brown tabby fur, leaf'pool nodded her body shaking still but a tad though, "and hey if you ever need to talk about past things you can okay I know you miss your original kits, jay'feather, lion'blaze and holly'leaf but now you have three new beautiful kits our kits that will one day become strong and powerful warriors or smart and organized medicine cats" she mewed, leaf'pool nodded her tail twisting with moth'star's. Dock'paw laid in the apprentice den looking around to see fox'paw a smile spread across his muzzle as he gave a tiny mew, fox'paw lifted his head and looked over to Dock'paw "what is it?" "whats it like outside of camp?" he asked his tail swaying, fox'paw laughed as his tail twitched "well its full of prey and tree along with a huge river that is frosted over for now" Dock'paw smiled widely as he couldn't help but want to ask more questions "well you'll be shown the territory by sorrel'tail tomorrow" fox'paw mewed laying his head back down to get some sleep, Honey'paw gave a snicker as she laid her head down, "just be lucky we aren't sent to clean out elders ticks yet" she joked, curling her tail around herself, Dandelion'paw had already fallen asleep her golden tabby body rising and falling, Dock'paw nodded as he lowered his head, his eyes flicked around his amber eyes flicking around as he closed his eyes. When he opened his eyes again we was standing on a rock above dozens of cats, their pelts each shined with blood and wounds, Dock'paw looked around to see his siblings standing next to him tall and proud, the cats all looked shocked as they began to cheer, that's when lighting came crashing down and he watched honey'paw and dandelion'paw fall tot he ground off of the rock, blood pouring out of their chests, Dock'paw screamed as he woke up in a cold sweat looking around his heavy breathing and screech woke up dandelion'paw, she looked at him with her soft amber eyes "Are you okay Dock'paw?" she asked her tail twitching, Dock'paw quickly got up and rushed over to her nuzzling against her his body shaking, "hey its okay just tell me what happened in your nightmare" she said with a soft purr, Dock'paw explained his body shaking as her nuzzled closer to his sisters warm body "hey its alright look  I'm  here and i'm alive no worries okay?" she mewed softly placing her head on his, dock'paw nodded as he laid his head down and dandelion'paw removed her head placing her head next to his with a smile she watched him carefully with a gentle smile.
