Chapter 6

The sun was now in the sky and dandelion''paw had cried herself to sleep, but Dock'paw couldn't get past the fact of Prickle'kit being dead, he was even shook to the core by this, he prayed that the rest of ice'wings kits lived through leaf-bare. Dock'paw got up and padded over to the nursery to hear tiny voice, "Momma! where's prickle'kit?" The name hit dock'paw like a monster on the thunder path. "She's with star clan dear" Ice'wing said her voice cracking a bit. Dock'paw padded in and nuzzled ice'wing "you hungry?" Asked dock'paw, Ice 'wing nodded as she looked at her kits with a hint of worry "trust me when I say, I will make sure they will make it out of this leaf bare" Mewed dock'paw, his chest puffing out. Ice'wing smiled gently as she nodded cuddling her kits close. Dock'paw padded out of the nursery towards the prey-pile, and grabbed a rather small mouse there wasn't a lot but that was the plumpest thing in the prey-pile. Dock'paw padded back to the nursery and placed the small mouse in front of ice'wing. "Thank you dock'paw" mewed the white she-queen. Dock'paw nodded as he smiled gently at the kits "hey how about once the snow lightens up I can show you guys my hunting crouch" Dock'paw offered as Grass'kit jumped up with a smile "Yes please!" he purred. Beetle'kit was smiling widely as he snuggled into ice'wings fur. Petal'kit stared at dock'paw with soft eyes "dock'paw," "hmm?" dock'paw hummed a response as he looked at the she-kit her gray and white fur looking rather clean. "I hope you become a great warrior" she mewed softly. Dock'paw smiled as he nuzzled the kit "thank you Petal'kit" dock'paw said padding out of the nursery as he saw Sorrel'tail eating a tiny mouse caught from the dawn patrol earlier. Sorrel'tail's head popped up from eating as she noticed the brown dappled tom "hello dock'paw" she said smiling her tail flicking, as dock'paw padded over to her. As he sat down next to her with a smile, "Would you like to practice fighting today?" she asked. Dock'paw nodded her ears twitching, "well I'm gonna ask if Oak'fur can join us so honey'paw come's with" Sorrel'tail said her eyes soft. Dock'paw nodded smiling as he got to his paws and went to the apprentice den to walk up Honey'paw, as he entered the den he noticed that fox'paw was laying in his nest looking at Honey'paw gently. "Good morning Fox'paw" Dock'paw mewed as fox'paw flicked his eyes over to the dappled tom. "Morning" he said as Honey'paw's body twitched and her eyes fluttered open, as her head turned over to dock'paw she smiled "hey dock'paw when's training?" she asked stretching. "Sorrel'tail's gonna ask Oak'fur if we can train together"  Honey'paw nodded as she smiled. "Clan meeting!" called Moth'star, Dock'paw turned her head and padded out of the apprentice den being followed by honey'paw. 'where was dandelion'paw?' he thought looking around as he sat down next to his sister looking up at their leader with a bit of sorrow. "Today we honor a new warrior or first new warrior to this clan, Fox'paw step forward" The fox colored tom got to his paws and padded over lifting his head to the leader with pride "Squirrel'flight would you say fox'paw is ready to be a warrior?" The dark ginger she-cat nodded with a proud smile "Fox'paw do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your clan, even at the cost of your life?" fox'paw cleared his throat and spoke "I do," "Then by star'clan I give you your warrior name Fox'leap" Soon the group of cats were chanting Fox'paw's new name Fox'leap. I looked over at honey'paw to see she was beaming with pride of her friend. Dock'paw gave a tiny chuckle as he waited for the leader to continue "We also have two more new warriors joining us" She mewed as the two rouges walked to the front "raindrop, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this clan even at the cost of your life?" Raindrop nodded her gray fur was a bit white due to the snow. "Then by star'clan I give you your warrior name, Rain'Runner." The clan was silent as they waited for the next cat "miss Moth'star I would like to become what you clan cats call a medicine cat" Moth'star closed her eyes and nodded "alright then we will head to the moon pool this sun fall." Moth'star mewed her golden dappled fur glowing in the rather covered sun. "And one last thing our deputy, I hope you accept this position, but Bright'heart will you become this clan's deputy" Bright'heart padded in the front of the crowd with a radiant smile "I do accept" "Then I make yo Bright'heart the official deputy of...." "Cinder'clan" yelled a cat, Dock'paw turned his head to see his other mother Leaf'pool her amber eyes glowing with pride. Dock'paw smiled as he turned his head and started chanting "Cinder'clan!" soon the rest of the clan yelled the name cinder'clan. Moth'star nodded and smiled "Okay then Bright'heart thank you for becoming cinder'clan's first deputy" Moth'star said as the she-cat nodded. "clan meeting dismissed" Moth'star yowled. as the Clan separated. and Rain'runner was cheering on Her sister Birdy. Sorrel'tail padded over with Oak'fur with a smile "come'on Honey'paw, dock'paw" Sorrel'tail mewed as the two apprentices nodded following they're mentor's out of camp. Dock'paw looked around he couldn't tell where Dandelion'paw had went, but he shook his head trying to dismiss the thought. But Fear pried at his belly what if she had gotten hurt, or was dying from a injury somewhere. That's when a fluffy form came passing by "Oh hello Dandelion'paw" Sorrel'tail mewed. Dandelion'paw stopped in her tracks and turned over to look at sorrel'tail "hey, sorry i left camp Beech'fur asked me to go grab herbs" she mewed, "Oh that's fine, you know if Birdy becomes a medicine cat then maybe you could be a great medicine cat apprentice" Sorrel'tail purred. Dock'paw's eyes flicked onto the she-cat her puffed up body showed she was rather cold still "I'm thinking about it" Dandelion'paw mewed as she flicked her tail "well I better be on my way or Beech'fur will kill me" she joked. Dock'paw nodded as he pressed against Honey'paw for warmth, as Dandelion'paw made it back to camp with cat mint, and a few poppy seeds. Dock'paw had a weird feeling that she was lying about what she was doing other than grabbing those herbs. He would follow her next time she left, just to make sure she's not getting into any trouble.  

(sorry this chapter took forever to post it's just that I couldn't get a good Idea what to do and sorry if the story is kinda everywhere, i'm still trying to not sound boring.
