Falling For A Nerd

Chapter-1

Within a small but decent home, a working mother was making breakfast for her kids.

"Chen!! Go wake your sister up!!" She yelled from kitchen.

"I'm busy mom!" Chen replied from bathroom.

"This girl!! She stayed up late preparing for her first day of college but now she is sleeping!!" Her mother mumbled washing her hand and walking towards her daughter's room while wiping her hands.

"Yeonjoo!! Wake up! You are late!!" She yelled at her daughter.

"Don't blame me for not waking you up!!" She again yelled opening the window as the sunshine lighten ups dark room. The sleeping figure groans as she tries to cover her face with blanket which later was snatched by her mother.

"Yeonjoo!! Wake up otherwise I'll pour water on your face!! It's 10am!!" She yelled again.

Sleeping figure opens her eyes in shock, sat up and checked her phone.

She sighed in relief when she saw time was still 8am.

"Mom!! You scared me!!" She whined standing up streching her body.

"You should've woke up when I first called you one time!" Her mother chuckled walking away to kitchen.

Yeonjoo walked into her bathroom looking her face in the mirror.

She started brushing her teeth, doing her morning routine.

She stood infront of her mirror, brushing her hair and tying it to a pony tail.

She wore her specs and applied some face cream, she couldn't see her face without specs.

She walked out and saw her mother getting ready.

She back hugged her.

"Go eat your breakfast! Don't forget to eat lunch at your canteen! I really did top-up for meal card! Don't hesitate to eat whatever you want!" Her mother said as she was using some light make up on her face.

"Mom! I'm scared!" Yeonjoo mumbled as she nuzzled her face into her mom's back.

Her mother smiled and turned back.

"My dear baby! Everything is gonna be okay! Your brother is also gonna be in that campus! You can call him if you need anything!" Her mother smiled kissing her forehead.

"What if college life will also be like highschool!" Yeonjoo said as she pouted.

"No! Don't think! Highschoolers were childish for not understanding how great you are! In here you will get amazing friends, I promise you that!" Her mother hugged her daughter.

Yeonjoo nodded her head and walked into kitchen and was eating her breakfast.

Her mother went to her son's room

"Jongdae-ah! Take care of your sister! She is nervous! Look after her! You know how she got bullied in highschool, right?" Mom said.

"Yeah mom! Don't worry! I'll take care of her!" Chen said as he took his phone from charger and walked out of his room after hugging his mom

"Bye mom!" He kissed her cheek and went to put on his shoes

"Let's go fool!" Chen yelled waiting for his sister in his bike.

"Mom!! Look at him!" Yeonjoo whined but wore her shoes and got on the bike.

"Have fun,kids!" Her mother waved chuckling at her kids still being kids.

"Love you mom!!" Both of them yelled in unison as they drove off.

Her mother smiled as she saw her kids drove off.
