The next morning

The women left the room once I was dressed, I looked down and patted at my hanbok with a small sigh. 'I wonder what today will bring' I walked out of my room to see Prince Eun standing there, "Prince Eun?" I asked and he stared at me for a bit. "Is something wrong Eun?" I stepped to him and he nodded his head, "King Taejo is dead..." he said and I stared back at him, "You're serious?" I asked and he sighed out loudly. "Why would I joke about that Princess Miran?" He questioned, I turned and ran down the corridor until I got to the kings room to see the rest of the princes standing in room with Queen Hwangbo and Princess Yeonhwa. 

"Your majesty!" I ran over to the bed he laid in and stared down at him, 'What's that?' I reached to the piece of hanji paper beneath his arm and held it up, "That's a decree!" Queen Hwangbo said quickly, I opened it and read through it quickly. I turned to Prince So and went down onto my knees, "Long, Long live the King" I said and the others bowed down too, Queen Hwangbo took the decree to check it and then she bowed too. 

"What?" Prince So asked and I stood back up, "He gave you the throne, your majesty" I said as I stared towards Prince So, he looked around at everyone before standing up straight with a little smile. He looked over to me and stepped over to me with a smile, "Princess Miran" he said and as he said my name a slight shiver ran down my spine - something about how it rolled of his tongue made me blush a little bit. "Yes your majesty?" I asked and he put his hands onto my shoulders, "I'm glad you were the one to find the decree" he said softly before leaning down a bit. My heart started to beat faster for some reason, I've never felt this way when he spoke to me normally I'd push him away and threaten him. 

"Yes, your majesty" I smiled and he looked happy, then he stood up straight and turned to the others. "A king needs a Queen" Queen Hwangbo spoke up as she looked to her daughter Princess Yeonhwa, King So looked over to her blankly before walking out of the room. "Princess Yeonhwa is already married if you've forgotten" I reminded and Queen Hwangbo looked round to me quickly, "King Taejo married her off" I said and she ground her teeth. 

"I know what you're thinking - I'm just saying this because I want to be Queen, but you're wrong I am saying it because Yeonhwa will never be Queen and King So decides who he wants to marry" I smiled and looked over to the other princes, "Prince Wook please escort your family home" I smiled and he chuckled softly. 

"Your highness the king has requested for you to go to the damiwon" A servant woman said as she stood at the door, I nodded and walked out of the room to go straight to the Damiwon. When I entered I didn't see him, "I guess I got here first" I spotted a woman near a back room so I walked over to her, "Greetings your highness, King So ordered me to change you into comfortable clothes" she walked inside the room so I followed her quickly.
