Chapter 10

Ariel showed Mrs. Pax her room. ▶Ariel: "This is Mrs. Pax's room. Hope it's to your liking. If there is anything Mrs. Pax Inconvenient with please do inform Ariel. I'll try my best to fulfil your request." Said with a smile.
Mrs. Pax entered her room and invited Ariel in.
▶Mrs. Pax: "Lady Ariel would you mind drinking a cup of tea with me!" Said with a smile.
Ariel looked at Mrs. Pax strangely. She wondered if something was wrong. Ariel agreed immediately and asked Mrs. Pax if she had a preference then excused herself to bring the tea set. Ariel bumped into Carney and Bency. ▶Bency: "Look who is here. It's the first Oh! No shall I say the SECOND LADY? What are you doing not paying respect to the Eldest daughter of the house!" Said with a sneer. Ariel ignored them and walked past them when suddenly Bency grasped Ariel's wrist roughly.
▶Ariel: "YOU DARE!" said Ariel glaring at Bency.
▶Bency: "Why won't I dare?! Why do you think that I will still be scared of you?! Who are you anyway! You are just a second daughter."
Carney didn't bother to involve herself she was just looking satisfied at the corner. Letting Bency do whatever she wants. Then suddenly, Mrs. Pax showed up from nowhere.
▶Mrs.Pax: "What's going on here?!" Said with a cold expression and tone.
▶Carney: "Oh! Mrs. Pax, please help! I tried to stop them but no one is listening at all. Bency tried to defend me when my dear. Sister Ariel bumped me on purpose I mean accidentally. I understand her feelings after all I used to be a maid in this house and to suddenly be The Eldest daughter and take her place... It's just unforgivable." Said while sweeping her fake tears. Ariel really couldn't believe her eyes and ears and how Carney was so fast to act. She felt like slapping both of them 10 times no but 100 times until their faces get swelled. She wanted to show them their place and dump them somewhere in the jungle. However, she couldn't take the act or say anything in Mrs. Pax's presents. So Ariel just closed her eyes to calm herself down. Mrs. Pax stared at Bency silently for a while. Bency twitched and quickly let go of Ariel's hand. Bency walked towards Mrs. Pax and Carney's side.
▶Bency: "Oh~ poor Lady Carney. Please don't cry. Everything will be alright. Bency is sure that everyone understands Lady Carney's feelings and they are on Lady Carney's side. Because Lady Carney is a kind girl, Right Mrs. Pax?! Mrs. Pax, please give some words to Ariel! I mean Lady Ariel. " said pleading and crying.
▶Mrs. Pax: "And who are you?! I came here to teach not to watch an opera performance. And who told you to talk without permission?!" Said coldly staring at Bency. Bency shivered and looked down avoiding Mrs. Pax's eyes.
▶Carney: "Mrs...." Mrs. Pax ignored Carney who was about to say something. And turned to Ariel who didn't have the attention to explain anything to Mrs. Pax. Mrs. Pax smiled gently at Ariel and told her to follow her back to the room. Then ordered Bency to bring some tea.      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Both Mrs. Pax and Ariel were sitting waiting for Bency to serve them. After Bency has done with serving Mrs. Pax excused Bency with cold eyes and tone. Bency immediately looked down, bowed and excused herself. She rushed to the door and accidentally bumped her head into the door. Ariel watched Bency amazingly. She wanted to laugh but held herself up. Mrs. Pax sipped some tea and put the cup down. Waited for Ariel to explain the situation. However, Ariel hasn't brought up the subject and stayed quietly, Sipping the tea calmly. Therefore, Mrs. Pax decided to talk.
▶Mrs. Pax: "Lady Ariel, Are they always like that?" [ Referring to Carney and Bency.] Ariel smiled faintly at Mrs. Pax neither denying nor agreeing. ▶Mrs. Pax: "Would lady Ariel like to explain?"
▶Ariel: "I apologize. I don't think I would be able to explain without any evidence. I apologize once again for letting Mrs. Pax see such an improper scene."
▶Mrs. Pax: "And why do you think you are not able to explain?!" Said Mrs. Pax curiously.
▶Ariel: "As Mrs. Pax mentioned. Mrs.Pax is here to educate us and not to watch an opera performance. I believe that this improper subject like family problems should not be mentioned in front of Mrs. Pax. "
▶Mrs. Pax: "Aren't you afraid that I could take their side?! Or misunderstand you?!"
▶Ariel: " From Mrs. Pax's action, I don't think so. I believe that Mrs.Pax is wise enough and can see and judge the situation. However, If you did ..... Then I don't have a choice but to let Mrs. Pax see and learn the truth by herself. " Mrs. Pax smiled faintly while sipping some tea then she asked Ariel.
▶Mrs. Pax: "So, what are you planning to do? Are you going to report it to the Baroness?"
Said Mrs. Pax, putting her cup of tea down. Ariel looked at her teacup silently then took it in her hands.
▶Ariel: "No...It's better not to bother Mother about trivial kid's fights. I believe she has enough trouble dealing with my other siblings... Besides, there is no evidence. Therefore, I believe things won't be to my advantage."
Mrs. Pax looked at Ariel silently. Ariel seemed to have a lot to say and looked kind of lonely and empty. Until now she hasn't seen any interaction between the Baroness and Ariel. And the Baroness hasn't brought up any subject about Ariel or bothered to mention her.
▶Mrs. Pax: "... Have you ever had a proper conversation with the Baroness or even spent some time with her ?"
▶Ariel: "Mother always has a busy schedule, so she is always busy." Said with a perfectly fine smile. Mrs. Pax now understood what Ariel is going through, and understood Ariel's feelings. Mrs. Pax felt sorry and sympathetic to this young Lady.
▶Mrs. Pax: " Lady Ariel, No matter how old are you and how older you will get you have the right to show your feelings, have the right to complain, and you have the right to be angry. It's not negative or wrong. You don't have to condone someone's action or pretend you are okay with them to be a good or spiritual person. Just know that you have the power to move beyond your pain when you are ready. You have the power to find lessons in your heartache, gains in your losses, and reasons to forgive. It might take time, and it might not be easy. However, it is possible to heal and move on. I know it is harder than done and it is harder because they are the closest people to Lady Ariel's heart. However, I give you my promise that I'll be there for you whenever Lady Ariel's needs and I'm always ready to hear Lady Ariel." Ariel froze and stared at Mrs. Pax. She couldn't believe that she would hear this kind of words from a stranger she has just met a few hours ago. She always eager to hear from her mother these kinds of words and comfort. Ariel's eyes started to get wet and a tear fell from her eye. Ariel quickly swept her tears and smiled brightly and warmly. Truthfully, Ariel wanted to cry her heart out but didn't want to make things harder and awkward afterwards for Mrs. Pax. She was just grateful and happy for Mrs. Pax's words of comfort and consideration.
Mrs. Pax smiled back warmly to Ariel.
▶Mrs. Pax: "Besides, you are now in marriageable age. So things will get better if you chose the right husband. Or ~ perhaps you have someone you admire?! " said with a teasing smile. Ariel didn't expect Mrs.pax to say that. So Ariel blushed and denied it immediately. Both of them laughed together. When... Knock ×3. Mrs. Pax gave her permission and it was the Baroness who entered the room. ▶Baroness: " Please excuse me have I interrupt your rest ?!  !! Ariel?! What are you doing here?! Don't tell me you have been here since this morning!" Said with an annoyed voice.  Ariel was going to answer when ... ▶Mrs. Pax:" Yes, I invited lady Ariel to talk. I needed someone to chat with. I'm having so much fun so the baroness doesn't have to worry. I'm so comfortable thanks to Lady Ariel."
▶Baroness: "... E e is that so hoho then I'm glad." Said with an awkward smile.
▶Mrs. Pax: "So is something wrong, Baroness Kaylee?!"
▶Baroness: " Oh! No, not at all I just came to invite Mrs. Pax to launch."
▶Mrs. Pax: "Oh my! Look at us. I didn't realize that it's lunchtime now! Hohoho. However, I have to decline Baroness Kaylee's invitation. I forgot that I have an appointment. So maybe next time."
Baroness: "Oh! Is that so?! No problem please take your time and make yourself comfortable~."
