Marc's mother, Stephanie, was strongly superstitious she believed in everything There was crosses in each room, everything was going well for them. Until his parents got into a fight one morning it didn't end until a bird hits the window leaving a smear, both stopped fighting after. Then Marc's makeup mirror shattered for no reason as he was getting ready for a date sending his mother in a fit. Stephanie wouldn't send her son out many bad things were happening here, she wanted her husband to stay but he went to work anyway.
"Can I invite Andy over then?" Marc asks.
His mother agreed and Andy came over for dinner since Marc's father was working late. Andy was charming and kind, there was something off about him. Marc's mother noticed that his ear were the exact same as her ex-boyfriend, a chunk of his ear was missing a shape same as Ted's he even had those sharp teeth like him too. Stephanie begs for Andy to go home but receives cold looks. She sighs softly in defeat, she hands Andy a mug of hot cocoa their hands touch. Stephanie's vision flashes and she sees Ted straddling her telephone cord in hand before its wrapped around her throat. The mug shatters to the ground and Marc flinches, "Mom!!".
Stephanie cleans up the mess while Andy's hand is tended to. The dinner was in awkward silence, "Maybe you should head home." Marc suggest softly.
"No." Andy tells him, "The snow storm is bad.'' then the lights go out leaving them in front of the lit fireplace, ''Im going to check the breaker.'' Andy says fishing his phone out and using it as a light.
He searches around and stops seeing Stephanie, "Hello, Mrs. Leighton."
She drops the picture frame it shatters, "A-Andrew." she looks startled.
He picks up the picture frame . It's Mrs. Leighton and Ted Milligan on prom night. Andy laughs and looks at her, "Mother's instinct."
"Excuse me?"
"I saw how you looked at me in the living room when our hands touched the look of fear on your face," he had her cornered now, "You remembered."
"T-Ted?" she whimpers out it wouldn't make sense.
"I'm Andrew Milligan." Andy whispers, "And I'm making you pay for what you did to my father, Stephanie." he grabs the telephone off her night stand he goes to strangle her.
She shoves him and runs bumping into Marc. Her vision flashes and sees Marc running in the snow he would be safe but she would die. Andy runs out and tackles her sending Marc screaming and fighting Andy off. Andy goes after Marc next he flees fast. Marc dials 999 he pants and shivers from the cold, he thought he was safe. He heard the sirens the glorious sirens that would save him, then a crunch of snow behind him and something came crashing onto his head sending him crashing and his vision blackening.
