Percy's POV
A man with neatly cut dark hair and wearing a beige long trench coat. (Ya that's the best I got. You try describing him better.) He looked kind of plain, but from experience never judge by looks. Monsters are always those you least expect.
I tense slightly not knowing the mans intentions. I see out of the corner of my eye and see Leo and Hazel tense up as well. The man seems to notice because he puts his hands out in the universal surrender sign and puts a kind smile on.
"Whoa there no need to be so tense I am not here to hurt you." Ya we have heard that once or twice.
"Lets start over. My name is Detective Noamasa Tsuchauchi I'm just here to ask you a few questions." He says and I do recall being told that a detective would come in and talk to us, but do you really think I was paying attention.
" OH FINALLY!! I was ready to yeet myself out this window!!" Leo yells so the whole hospital could hear.
To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if he did just randomly jump out a window.
It's Leo after all he would probably make a helicopter out if popsicle sticks and pocket lint before he even hit the ground. Hephaestus kids.
The detective looked slightly concerned, but he has probably heard worse.
" Ok, well I can assure you no 'window yeeting' will be necessary." Oh ya the detectives heard worse.
" I will just ask you a few simple questions and hopefully have you guys home safe and sound." Something told me this wasn't going to go so well.
" Ok. first question" he said taking a seat" What are your guy's names."
"Perseus Jackson, but please call me Percy."
"Hazel Levesque"
"I'm Leo Valdez, bad boy supreme."
"It's Just Leo Valdez" Hazel corrects when the detective looks confused.
"Got it. And do you have any way of contacting your parents?" He asked
Now I had a feeling that I would not be able to contact Mom or Paul from wherever we are so..
"No, sorry I don't have any way to contact my Mom and these two are in, umm foster care." I say in hopes he won't ask many more questions.
" That's going to make getting you guy's home a tad bit harder, we'll have to take some DNA samples then." he said.
"Do any of you have medical or mental disorders/ allergies?" Detective Tsuchauchi asks.
"Uhh we all have ADHD and Dyslexia some worse than others." I say gesturing to Leo who I am pretty sure tuned out the conversation and has started making a baby Festus.
"Yo, guys look it's Festus Jr." Says Leo holding out a mini dragon made of tissues and other small items found in a hospital.
He asked us a few more questions like birthday, jobs, and about the incident. after he asked us about the incident he made a connection to another case and decided that we would be put with a Pro Hero, which he also explained what a Pro Hero was, incase what ever controlled the portal would come back for us.
"And finally the last question. What are your guy's quirks?" He asked like it was a normal question.
One what is a quirk and two are we supposed to have one?
"Umm sir I hate to ask , but what is a quirk?" Hazel finally speaks up after a minute of confused silence.
"Umm-Well They are like super powers most people in our society possess. do you guy's have any super powers?" He explained kind of bewildered by our question.
If everyone has them then it would be ok if we shared about our ability's it would definitely make trying to get back home a little bit easier.
"Well, umm I can control water." I say slowly and cautiously.
"I can control and pull up preciouses metals from the grounds, but those who take those preciouses metals will be cursed with the worst of luck." Hazel says getting quieter at the end of her explanation.
"I am flaming hot." states Leo
"He can create fire from himself." I explain for the poor detective who had to put up with Leo's shenanigans.
Man I sound like Annabeth. Man I miss her.
"Ok that's all the questions I have for you kids today. Now normally those who go into witness protection would go to a safe house, but since you are minors you will need to be supervised. We do however have a Hero on stand by who will take you guys in till we capture the guy behind the black portal or till we deem you safe." Detective Tsuchauchi states in an official tone of voice. He did say more, but my attention span has had enough for today.
Time skip to when We got to the Hero's house.
We walk up to the front door of a decently sized home and Tsuchauchi knocks on the door. Not even a few moments later a giant cockatoo comes out screaming.
"YO, YO, YO!!!! PRESENT MIC OUT THE HOOOUUUSSSEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
