The first three days passed in a blur, I spent it relaxing and eating. The food here was amazing. And Chase, Chase was amazing, he was so funny and always kept me busy, I seriously thought we could a have a good chance at winning this competition thing. We went over many ideas of what we thought could be in it. So far with some of the already told ideas, I wasn't sure I'd make it out of this alive. So on the day when it all began, I was more than
nervous.

"Get up, get up, get up! Rise and shine! A morning camper is a happy camper!" I awoke to the screech of a counsellor with an air horn walking by our cabin. I groaned, the sound was followed by many of the other girls. Today was the day, we would make it or break it.

"Hey, the first is the easiest, calm down we will breeze through it" Chase reassured me as we walked to the food hall to hear the day's events.

I barely touched my breakfast this morning due to nervousness for the day's events. What if we where knocked out first? Would I still hang out chase? Where would I sleep? Would I still be allowed to use the zip lining course? Questions picked at my mind all morning until finally Jane got up on a chair with a microphone

"Good morning everybody!" She called and some muffled 'good mornings' rang back "Today is a big day! As you all know the camp competition starts today! Yay! Right!? so to start off we will project a riddle onto the wall in a minute or so, it will lead you to a place, there are 100 flags there, get a flag for your team and you stay in the competition. easy enough I'd say, and yes at least 50 teams will be taken out today... Now good luck and go, go, go!" She yelled the last part and a riddle appeared projected onto the wall

"Passed back and forth the ball will go, in a game that most shall know, while romance is not in the art, the fact of love will play a part"

I read the riddle three times and yet each time it seemed like I was understanding it less and less.

I looked around and saw that at least a quarter of the teams where gone already, I panicked and looked back at the riddle really concentrating when Chase grabbed my hand and jumped up

"Come on Athena! I got it!" Then he ran out dragging me with him.

"What is it?" I asked panting and making chase stop after five straight minutes of running

"Athena, we are going to lose if we don't keep running" chase urged and I stood up a little from my crouched position

"Okay... just give me second to catch my breath" I said wishing I had some water

"We don't have a second" chase looked at me, his eyes sparkling with curiosity then he scooped me up in his arms and started running

"Whoa what the hell!" I yelled

"We can't stop, I'm sorry but we have to keep moving" chase said and kept running holding me like a was a feather. I looked around and saw the tennis courts. thats it! It made so much sense now, I looked and saw many teams all standing beside it holding flags and then I noticed there where only about four flags left tied to the net and saw several teams all running at them or fighting over them, it was scary knowing we would have to run into that

"Come on chase! We gotta run!" I jumped out of his arms because I could tell I was only slowing us down and I sprinted forward where many teams where fighting to grab the last few flags and it was like a mosh pit in there, people where shoving violently and screaming, I squeezed in between two guys and reached out my arm as far as I could until I could feel the soft texture of the flag in the tips of my fingers. I yanked it into my hand and made a fist and backed up, and out.

"Did you get one?" Chase asked, he had tried getting in towards where the flags where but couldn't. I grinned and flattened my hand out where the flag sat, squished, but there. He smiled and hugged me

"All right! Off to a good start" he said and we went over to the rest of the groups who had also managed to get a flag. I scanned the large group of kids and noticed all the girls except Shan had made it. I hardly think she'll care though.
