Kiyoko's POV

"Babeeeee, do we have to go?"

"We already agreed to meet him, and I'm not going alone." I said to my husband. He sighed, crossing his arms in disagreement. I smiled faintly, rolling my eyes and walking closer, giving him a kiss.

"Quit the pouting. Let's go." I said, watching him grumble to himself while pulling his jacket and shoes on. Once he was ready, I held his hand and got him to do the driving.

"Soooo, what do they even look like."

"Did you even read his letter?"

"....Yessssss."

"Of course not. Tanaka, it's Kuroo."

"Oh! Rooster head. Haven't seen him since we were. What. Teens?"

"Mhm." Tanaka laughed, reminiscing while we waited for Kuroo to show up. I listened to his rambles quietly when Kuroo finally showed up. Another man with him, and, two cats. Interesting.

"Hello Kiyoko, Tanaka." Kuroo said politely. My husband and I returned the greeting before following the two elsewhere. Somewhere more private to discuss our situation. Once we were out of earshot of anyone else, I listened in silence while Kuroo and Tanaka spoke.

"So, whaddya want Kuroo."

"I want you both to do a job for me."

"You know we don't do that stuff anymore, right?"

"Yes."

"So why're you asking."

"Because I'll pay you."

"We got enough money." Tanaka said, Kuroo asking to speak to him in private. The two stepped aside, whispering while I stood with the boy that Kuroo had brought along. I glanced at him but said nothing, just waiting patiently when the two shook hands. Not sure what happened, but I trust that my husband wouldn't simply make a blind deal without good reason. Kuroo and his friend left, Tanaka walking with me.

"So what did he offer to persuade you?"

"Nothing."

"...nothing? Then why are we agreeing."

"Because he gave me something instead."

"And what was it."

"A very, very good reason."

Tanaka's POV
I might have dabbled in, mm, a lot of killings in the past. But I had a heart. I always made sure that a target's death was quick, and probably painless if it was quick, right? Kuroo told me what had happened to that other guy, Kenma. I couldn't imagine if that would have happened to Kiyoko. That Atsumu guy would definitely have to move planets.

Once Kiyoko and I were back home, I gave her a kiss and reassured her that things were under control. She just nodding, walking off to go shower. Part of me was tempted to join her, butttt I should probably look over the things that Kuroo gave me when we met up. While my wife was in the shower, I sat on our bed and emptied out the envelope onto our bed. Hm, okay. Definite weird, badly done blonde hair. Looked tall. Last seen in a hotel that was a few hours from here. Something about this guy looks familiar though.

"Taking a look at the target?" Kiyoko asked, sitting by me. Nothing but a towel around her, her dampened hair sticking to her skin. I looked away to avoid getting a boner, well, honestly it might happen anyway but I was trying to be serious.

"Yeah. Hey does he look familiar to you at all?"

"Hm. He does... I feel that we have seen him in town before. But didn't Kuroo say that this man is a few hours away?"

"Yeah he did. Did he always have blonde hair?"

"I remember him having a more grey color."

"I do too." We sat together, talking about what our approach should be. I, of course, shared with her what Kuroo had told me. Apparently this guy was pretty dangerous, and he had a partner who was slightly less dangerous but he still wanted dead. We put the strategizing to rest, my goddess of a wife being a tease and changing in front of me. She denied me of doing anything as we laid together.

"You know, if you don't want me doing anything you should change in the restroom. Or actually inside the closet with the door shut. We have a walk-in for a reason."

"I'm sorry baby, I'll be sure to do that next time." She said with a wink before rolling over onto her side. I huffed, her back facing me. Wasn't gonna stop me. I scooted closer, putting my arms around her and pulling her closer to my body. She giggled slightly, letting herself relax and fall asleep in my arms. I couldn't believe someone as amazing as her actually married me. Well, after this job for Kuroo. It was time to officially retire this type of work, for both of us. Couldn't wait to have a family with her.
