AN: After seeing Sunni Patterson's We Made It on youtube my spirits have been marginally uplifted. This is based off that glorious poem she made. I will post her poem in the little media section on the righthandside for those of you who haven't seen it. Hope y'all like this. Here you go. I may come back and add more in the future.

How long, was the question. I know not the answer so none shall I give but I shall give thee this.
Death and fear have tortured us for centutries on end. They come with their accusations and their politics designed to beat us down but for centuries have we risen back up. Let us look back at our enemy in determination and with each small victory let us celebrate as we keep marching forward.
A people in need are we of emancipation but only by the freeing of our minds may we truly set out to be all that we can be. If it be our obligation to our god in all creation to look death in the face and say we made it then let us whoop and call like the savages they claimed we were. Let us beat our chests like the monkeys they compared us to. Let us sound off our guns and blast our speakers like the thugs they paint us to be as we stare death in the face for in the end it will be that monkey, that savage, and that thug that come out on top.
Let us bellow our joy and from the rooftops and let us stomp and clap to the beat of our wild hearts. Let us cry out We Made It Indeed. Yes I know not when that day comes but I know a people in need are we and a freed people we will be.
