Daniel's POV
There I was, standing stunned in front of a closed door.
You could see the fear in her eyes when the unknown man called her. Not wanting to bother her more, I left and went to my apartment.
Back in my bed I just couldn't sleep, not of the noises this time, but because of the thoughts running through my mind.
I don't know why I am so worried about this girl. I don't even know her.
Eventually my eyes started to feel heavy and I slowly drifted off to sleep.
~next morning~
The doorbell rang, causing me to wake up.
Rubbing my eyes, still tired of the lack of sleep, I stood up out of my bed and walked towards the front door.
"What's up, bro!" Zach basically shouted in my face when I opened the door.
The boys were all standing there outside my new apartment's front door, smiling at me.
I stepped aside, indicating to them to walk inside, which they did. Acting like they are in their own house, they started to look around my new apartment.
"Long night, Daniel?" Jonah asked me.
I probably look dead, because I feel dead inside honestly.
The lack of sleep really didn't do anything good to me. I just nodded at Jonah's question and he let out a chuckle.
All the boys were amazed by my apartment. I gave them a tour, even though they already ran through my whole apartment like some monkeys.
~~~
We were now just all chilling on the couch, talking about life. But then the noises started again. Things being thrown and a door being slammed could be heard.
All the boys looked confused, clearly also hearing all the noises.
"What is going on up there?" Corbyn asked confused.
"I don't even know. Last night it was the same thing." I said while looking down, my thoughts wandering to Amelia.
A few minutes later there was a knock on my door.
I stood up and walked towards the door, realizing I was still only in a pair of sweatpants.
I opened the door and was met with a pair of teary red eyes. Amelia was standing in front of me in tears.
"Can I come inside, please? I know you barely know me... But I don't know where else to go and..." She choked on her words and bursted into tears.
Not really knowing what to do, I just pulled her into a tight hug. I always don't really know what to do when someone is crying, especially a girl.
I slowly walked more inside my apartment, so I could close the door. I was still hugging her and trying to calm her down.
She was sobbing in my arms, and her petite body looked so fragile.
I wanted to sit down so I could calm her down more.
"Hold on ok?" I whispered into her and lifted her small body up.
I wrapped her legs around my torso and held her up with my hands.
She was still sobbing into my chest and I walked with her to the couch where I sat down.
The boys all looked confused at. me, but they kept their mouths shut. Amelia didn't even notice that they were here. I started to rub her back, thinking that maybe that would help to calm her down.
I already have a soft spot for this girl.
